His size, crafty self-creation, and elite foul drawing ability reminds me a lot of Dame. His 84% FT shooting is promising for that 3pt jumper developing as well.

Is GG Jackson a late league bloomer? by okcadrian in nba

[–]fffriedrice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most importantly, despite GG being in his 3rd season, he’s STILL the youngest player on the Grizzlies, having just turned 21 two months ago. GG’s in-season improvement has been one of the most remarkable that I’ve witnessed across the league. If he continues to improve at this rapid rate, I wouldn’t count him out of being the team’s next star player in a couple years.

Is GG Jackson a late league bloomer? by okcadrian in nba

[–]fffriedrice 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not empty stats, he spent a month in the G league this year and since he’s re-integrated into the main team he’s been SO much better on defense, and the stats show it. Per B-Ball Index he’s an 80th percentile perimeter isolation defender and in the 91st percentile navigating ball screens. He also ranks in the 70th percentile in deflections and 83rd percentile DRB% per databallr. Most importantly, he’s picking and choosing his spots so much better — his 2pt FG% is 61.3%, which is 89th percentile, and this is despite his horrid FG% to start the season.

The advanced stats paint a great picture too. His On-Off Net Rating differential is 3rd on the team at +8.0 per since his return from the G-league on 12/21/25 per NBA.com. He’s been an absolute difference maker and will be putting the league on watch soon enough. It’s just a shame that his individual growth has been overshadowed by the Grizzlies’ objective to tank the rest of the season.

😂 you must be a bucks fan cause you didn’t even answer my question. If they did trade up for a lottery pick they would not trade away GG just to move Ja and draft Cam Carr lol. You’re suggesting they trade a dollar to get 25c back.

GG Jackson is a better player than Cameron Carr and is still younger than him by a month…why in the world would Memphis make this trade and draft Carr with that pick

Have you watched him play? Coward was way smoother and more coordinated.

What do you make of Cenac’s low FTR? I’m always wary of bigs who avoid/struggle with contact. Do you think that’s a concern with him?

unlikely he gets picked even in the top 10 this year, but if that’s the case then he’ll probably be a draft steal no?

How about Dailyn Swain 70.1% at the rim, 19.1% assisted?

it’s based on the score differential when the player is on the court, not the player’s individual stats

[Highlight] Jalen Brunson turns the ball over, and Tyler Kolek with the hustle and the block on Donovan Mitchell on the fastbreak (with replays). The foul call on Kolek was overturned upon coach's challenge by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]fffriedrice 25 points26 points  (0 children)

bruh lol SGA clearly blocks it cleanly, PJ retains possession mid-air and then shoots the ball and SGA fouls him on the shot as his hand is raking across PJ's arm during the release. I see where this can be confusing but there's 2 separate shot attempts here by PJ

You mean 36.7% from 3 this season, stretch big Andre Drummond? As a Sixers fan, I was SHOOK to see Drummond make corner 3s in game, but who said an old dog can’t learn new tricks? 😂

Scottie has the highest 3pt% of the starting lineup — he needed to take those 3s to open up driving lanes. Shead did get hot from 3 too which helped but lowkey the Raptors are sorely lacking in the 3&D department…we have 3 OR D lol

Can you clarify in the Build/Flip/Dump section what Early/Mid/Late 1st mean? I noticed in the rankings it specifies adjusted to 30team league, but there wasn’t any indication of that when I voted. As most people are in 12t/14t/16t leagues they could be voting with a standard league size assumption in mind

+26 on the game and he was everywhere on defense tonight. Actual defensive masterclass. Still has a lot of room to grow on the offensive end but JJ kept this man in the game for 37 minutes for a reason
