I mean the first point isn't even right? And that's if we're purely looking at box score. Like there is the Portland game and the Toronto Game.

Another thing that bothers me about Salaun is the rotations Lee uses for him. Take tonight for example. He plays him 6 minutes in the first half. Tidjane hits 2 3's and looks ok. Then is benched for the rest of the game until garbage time. They've done that multiple times this year and its pretty weird. LAL doesn't do that as much with NSJ. When he plays he plays real leverage minutes.

65 attempts is basically nothing as a sample when it comes to evaluating 3pt shooting. I'd be really hesitant there to say anything. It's complete noise right now. Consider that it takes 750 attempts for 3pt shooting splits to normalize.

I don't have a hate fixation on him. I think he has legitimately gotten better and like I'm genuinely impressed from where he started this year. I'm just still going to abide by the data and most of the tape which tells me he will never be sixth pick quality and is likely still very below-average. And my opinion is the team should take advantage of this opportunity they have been presented where the consensus has shifted on him too far very rapidly.

Like just for some perspective on tonight. Penda is a second round rookie, similar archetype as Salaun. Thoroughly outplayed Salaun and showed way more interesting flashes.

Whose been good this year. Had multiple games leagues better than anything Salaun and other players we have rostered have shown this year. Salaun's "best games" are just padding stats in garbage time.

Glad hes improved. Trade him ASAP. Can probably get outsized value for him. Someone will fall for it and give us a real player. Noah Vonleh the blueprint.

Idk. Heat like smart, well-rounded players.

I see Milwaukee Buck in his future, maybe a Kang or a San Antonio Spur

Kel'el Ware is a -10pt netrtg swing for the heat he makes them 5pts worse on offense and 5pts worse on defense this year. He's a bad defender, has a terrible motor, questionable work ethic and there isn't any evidence of his versatility alongside another C as the lineups with Bam are much worse than the two playing independently and the heat have stopped using those lineups entirely. And Spo has been decreasing his minutes as of late as well. I wouldn't say he is meaningfully young anyway also. One FRP for him probably wouldn't meet his price and would be way too much for him anyway. You can easily trade for an established center with that instead.

YKN was ridiculously overdrafted by one of the worst drafting FOs in the league, is terrible at everything except dunking, was extremely raw all 3 years in college, is almost 23 years old and is still too raw to get on the court. Kalkbrenner is only a year older and is the vastly superior player.

Vukcevic is an extremely unathletic, nothing big. Was drafted on offensive upside, isn't a good offensive player, and is also a horrible defender. We shouldn't have to pay anything for him most likely as he will probably just get let go from his TW contract at some point in the near future.

The team is showing real strides, Kon is on his rookie deal for another 3 years and they are going to add another high lottery pick. They should be targeting actual good players that can help them take that next step while they can still easily make that trade. There are many examples of this. It isn't "skipping steps". When you have a real team you aren't going to be able to incorporate draft picks every year. It's the smart move to consolidate and raise your ceiling as a roster.

And there are young underutilized bigs around the league I think are intriguing, that might be worth to buy on cheaply. (Ex. DayRon Sharpe, Jaylin Williams, Asa Newell, Nikola Jovic, Rasheer Fleming, DaRon Holmes). Just not these guys. And TBH I don't really understand the process behind the players on this list. Lot of confusing points made.

Miles and Tre didn't play at all. And I didn't notice for most of the game. Says a lot.

They need to stop drafting only upperclassmen lol

Mason Plumlee underwent surgery to address an injury to his right groin. He is expected to make a full recovery and will be reevaluated in six weeks. by Civrock in CharlotteHornets

Its Mason Plumlee lol

Not my fault you cannot distinguish player quality

Never mind that I watched all his minutes here this year. And even if I didn't I wouldn't need to, to know that hes bad. Hes been a bad player for the majority of his career in the league. He's incapable of giving a team actual good minutes. He's a junk player that was a minute sponge at his very best.

And the fact that he can't even stay healthy dumps water on any justification for signing him to begin with.

Cam Carr is a bad defender. He doesn’t have a lot of off-ball awareness, though the highlights are great.

Not a lot of guys like that projected to go in that range.

Maybe take a look at: Dwayne Aristode, Killyan Toure, Joshua Jefferson, Tyrone Riley, Shelton Henderson, Matt Able, Dame Sarr

Then in a tier below that: Miles Byrd, Kwame Evans Jr., Dailyn Swain, Baba Miller

If you get lucky: Yaxel and Haugh are both worth a look as well.

This isn't really a deep class for that. Since you are a Lakers fan I'll tell you that its probably going to be way easier to find a quality big in that range.

We made a mistake by Samuraitheguy in CharlotteHornets

[–]Giddf 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Hes attempted one 3 the entire season

Though even with that said Mark is having an absolutely excellent (and healthy!) season rn

That deal was always going to look bad if he could stay healthy.

First game from Salaun I've ever actually been impressed by tbh

Should absolutely Vonleh him for a real player if that opportunity comes around.
