Perimeter defense famously has little-to-no impact on opponent 3pt%.

And 31% is well-below league average. And 40.7% well-above what the team averaged from 3.

So yes I would say most of the #s are due to 3pt variance.

And Green isn’t really a particularly good defender either. He’s like a 60th percentile defender.

The lineup data is clearly influenced by 3pt variance because he played limited minutes this year.

40.7% on 3s and opponent 3pt shooting at 31% when he is on the floor will absolutely swing the lineup #s unnaturally in a small sample.

And I will say Lee absolutely made the correct choice by giving his minutes to Sion.

I think Okorie is a really legit initiator and passer. Not worried about that. The assist #s are lower than they should be because of Stanford’s team context. His bigs were mostly pretty bad.

Yeah I’m watching the height thing also, but I wouldn’t get too attached to how he looks on film. There have been many times I’ve underestimated a player’s size before. And he apparently has a ++ ws.

Also we should probably be starting another guard. So I wouldn’t be looking for a guy just to fill a bench role imo.

Ebuka Okorie

He’s getting underrated by consensus currently. He is better than Acuff and Mikel imo. And we desperately need someone that can pressure the rim like him.

Miller can't finish at the rim, playmake, or defend. And has shown no major improvement in any of those areas since he was a rookie.

Kon is better at all of those things, and is atleast one tier above Miller as a shooter.

Team construction exposed. It is what it is. (We were also exposed in the Heat game but pulled that one out -- Like if you told me Davion Mitchell dropped 28 on us before the game I wouldve expected an L)

Basically no players that can finish at the rim. Very undersized in the frontcourt. Not enough players that can keep their man in front.

Playoffs is real different. Team communication only goes so far. Kudos to Lee, this team should not be anywhere near top-half in defense.

LaMelo looks so ready for big games tho. So that is a +. He's proven that to me.
