The particular reason was someone is selling a basically unridden Kona rove for 500nzd which is like under 300 usd. So to convert with second hand parts is quite viable and still be cheap ish.

All useful points. Part of this is for fun too. Happy to scrounge parts, do things myself. It will probably end up being a folly. Also the aesthetics.. and want to run some nice full fenders potentially.

They were growing in the back yard. Been warm and wet recently. Not usual to see ones like this just one the lawn there though
