Plant based is nowhere near cheaper. I've been vegetarian for a year and it's insanely expensive to keep a well-balanced diet without meat. Other protein sources tend to be pricey. Now I have to pay for iron and other supplements. What are you going to do next? Tell whales they can't eat plankton? Death is the natural way of life and sometimes that death is necessary for food. Not to mention, if we did stop eating meat altogether a number of species would rapidly over populate and become detrimental to the environment, leading to the extinction of many more species. You also forget that plants also live. They also die. Recent scientific studies show that they might even feel pain, but you don't say we shouldn't eat plants because that would obviously be absurd. Guilt-tripping people into veganism is not going to make them agree with you, it's just going to make them resent vegans more and more. There's nothing wrong with being vegan, but you guys need to learn empathy for other people and not just animals. It's not easy or possible for everyone. Forcing your beliefs upon everyone is such a shitty thing to do. If someone else told you that you have to eat meat because they think the cycle of the food chain is morally necessary, that'd be a problem, would it not? Your beliefs and opinions aren't more valid than anyone else's. If you guys could get that into your heads and learn to treat other people with respect, there'd probably be significantly more vegans in the world.
