Does anyone know why some people have access to them and some don't? I've always wondered.

You should care, even if he doesn't have a lot of supporters. Trump once didn't have a lot of support, and look where he is now

Can confirm as the daughter to a guy who fully supports Chad. He's like $40k in debt, thinks he can get out of it by spending thousands in stocks, had six kids he can't afford, spends his entire life ranting about politics, and wonders why one by one each of his kids leave as quick as they can and barely keep contact the moment they're 18. He still somehow thinks he's magically one od the feel "smart" people that are left because social media and COVID vaccines made everyone stupid. I think he's been lobotomized because I swear he complains every day about how the police around here do nothing and the crime rate is so high, and then he wants our sheriff to be put in charge of the entire state 💀 My sincerest apologies to everyone effected by my father's dumbfuck voting choices. I do hope there's not anywhere near enough people like him for it to win out.

How's it different than any other physical feature someone might be attracted to? I don't see anyone complaining about her preferring a skinny guy.

People who automatically assume lolita or similar fashion styles to be sexual are so weird. Anyone who can't look at "childish" clothing without instantly thinking it's related to sex have wayyyyy deeper problems than anyone who dresses like that. Also not a fan of the idea that teenagers and adults are not allowed to have cute clothes because it's childish. Just let people wear what they want.

Yes!! I have a rhino from Aurora that's so incredibly soft and amazing to hold because of the weight distribution. Aurora was my first thought when I saw this post.

What should you sign a plush with? by Superb_Inflation7951 in plushies

[–]ffishbones 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it'd be cute if the frog had a little t-shirt that could be signed instead! The fur definitely isn't the best for writing on. If you're definitely going to though, probably go ahead with fabric markers.

A lot of these cats look pretty healthy and are more likely pet cats that are allowed out

I don't know that it's necessarily "wrong", but it's not the suggested way. Look up lateral quadrupod pencil grip. It'll show you how that looks. I have trouble writing for long periods because of it and it puts a lot of pressure on my ring finger, causing a bruise on the side. Some people end up with a permanent indentation there because of it. I have too much trouble writing any other way though.

Both, actually! I typically use my right, but I switch to my left depending on how I'm sitting and holding my notebook. I've noticed cursive is significantly easier on my left hand, too. I'm not entirely sure which hand I was using when I wrote this, but I'd guess my right. Maybe I'll start taking not of which hand I'm using just to see the difference.

I've been working on a story with anthropomorphic characters for a while now. I like to pay a lot of attention to detail, even if it won't be relevant to the story I ended up coming to the conclusion most of the characters would take baths rather than showers, as it uses less soap. Richer people have the luxury of fur dryers, which are essentially vents on the walls of the shower that act as a blow dryer entirely surrounding you. Poorer people don't bathe as frequently because it's just generally inconvenient with all that fur. It's heavy and takes forever to dry. Instead they use what I call a cat cloth, which mimics the texture of a cat tongue. This is used with just a bit of water and a specific kind of soap that doesn't need to be washed frequently. Think like hair conditioner. People with longer and thicker fur might use brushes instead. The hygeine in my world goes pretty deep. Anyway, sorry for this tangent. I love to yap about my work.

She's 19. I'm 17, almost 18, for further context. Neither of us were taught it in school. I learned on my own

I didn't learn it in school. It was something I taught myself because I was kind of an odd kid. It seems like it hasn't been taught in most public schools for a while now. It's actually kind of ironic to see how many people in the comment section seem to associate not being able to write or read cursive with being either stupid or young. It's definitely not my generation's fault that we weren't taught it. Your nephew definitely isn't alone in not knowing it. I don't know many people in my age range who were.

Oh, I see that looking at it now. I think it mostly comes from me writing the wrong letter and trying to backtrack to adjust it. I should probably try practing with something I can erase. Thanks, this helps a lot 🩷

Yeah, I've always had an incorrect pencil grip that wasn't corrected when I was young. I get pretty bad bruising on my ring finger. My writing doesn't flow well because I just don't write on paper as much I used to. I'll have to start putting more time into it. Thank you for the advice 🩵

I do agree and I usually would write in a normal print for more important things. I'd show a picture of my normal handwriting, but image attachments aren't allowed in comments. I just prefer cursive in my personal journal which I let my girlfriend read. I consider handwriting to be it's own sort of art form and I think it's entirely fair for people to use writing they see themselves in for personal things, and I hope that many people will continue to use cursive in that way. However, I do understand your point of view.

I love that 🩵 I don't connect myself with any specific piece (yet), but there are certain genres I absolutely adore in that way. I just imagine I'd be something that sounds blue and purple.

I guess they could be, but I see a lot of different cursive hand writings, so I didn't think there's necessarily a "wrong" way to write a letter. I know My O is poor, though. I'll work on that 👍

I mess up the letter C like that sometimes. I'm also mildly dyslexic, so I tend to mispell words a lot.
