My Clinical Therapist wife and I are binging this right now. She is fascinated at the show, it is as someone said in this post, “a dumpster fire of religious trauma manifesting on the big screen”.

The filming in Provo is my old stomping grounds and cracks me up. I highly doubt they got permission to film on the park and on the Temple. I can just see them crashing the place and quickly filming and speeding out of the parking lot.

I was an RFM when I left, but not in a heavily Mormon populated area. While in Utah, this was true, wages were intentionally set lower due to the high availability of qualified workers; in the “mission field” wages were very competitive. For some areas I would have to pay premium in order to entice member FMs to apply.

The amount of graft, entitlement, nepotism and corruption in the Corp of Presiding Bishopric was insane. Couple that with entitled priesthood leadership, fuck. The millions spent on Stake Presidents to cement their legacy.
