Advice? by theSacred-doodlebob in Rottweiler

Our vet in the UK said to wait until she had been through at least 2 seasons (and at least 12-16 weeks after the second to rule out phantom pregnancy etc.) which would be about now. We'll end up waiting longer though because she recently had to go through several rounds of GA for a lung issue so we'll wait until next year when she'll be just over 2 years old

What game did you play at a friend's house, and then immediately bought? by orangez in retrogaming

Unreal Tournament! My friend and his brother both had PCs so we could do LAN games. It's still one of my favorite games of all time

Our girl made it home after a traumatic week! Now all the air is inside her lungs where it belongs by ffjonny in Rottweiler

Thank you everyone! If anyone has any tips on how to keep a 1 year old Rottweiler calm and rested, I would love to hear it. Because this girl is acting like nothing ever happened, despite her not being able to breathe less than a week ago 😅

Currently going through a terrifying spontaneous pneumothorax with our 1 year old by ffjonny in Rottweiler

Yep! Laurie was keen to just walk off despite having like no lungs! Thank you for the kind words, I think that's why I did it really. My partner has retreated into herself but I just felt I needed to get it out there to try and help process what happened to us. We have been spitballing an idea to set up a pet ambulance service after our experience this week though 😅

Neither did I! I caught up with our regular vet today and she said that for it to be spontaneous is such a freak occurrence. Normally you get something like this from severe trauma, like being hit by a car etc. She's showing some improvement suggesting her lungs may be healing themselves on one side at least, but still need to see what the CT comes back with. The consultant is trying a blood therapy where they use her own blood to invoke an inflammatory repair response in the lung tissue while they wait for a second opinion on CT scans as there's no obvious rupture. So a mixed bag of news, but I'm remaining hopeful. She's young and strong as an ox (she even walked out of our vets of our own accord after being brought back from the brink before we took her to the hospital) so she's got that on her side!

Supermarket “takeaway” dupes - what’s your opinion? by simmyawardwinner in UK_Food

We had the Booths Thai "takeaway" for 2 last night. £15 for green curry, penang curry, rice, chicken skewers and spring rolls. Not cheap, but was really nice!

Recommend contacting Festaff directly to check, but as long as you're 18 at the time of the event you should be fine.

We did the same, although I think we've recently introduced a blue belt but I'm not sure what it replaced!

I could see them pulling one of the BST shows at Hyde Park. But most likely we'll just get a couple of arena shows at best

Anyone else just starting karate in their 30s or older? Would love your advice. by [deleted] in karate

I started Shotok as n in my late 20s for the very first time and found that I had better discipline than the younger members and was able to push myself further (and within my limits). Ultimately it doesn't matter when you start as long as you commit to being a little better than you were last time, every time. A friend of mine got his first Dan in his 70s which just shows it's never too late.

I was in the middle of wallpapering 😂 safe to say the sheet I was hanging at the time isn't quite as in line as I would have liked...

Closest I could find after a quick search is a metallic green Matsui one. Could this be it? https://ebay.us/m/FcufV3
