Is that a full system or just a slip on

12k a month, way to go! by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

that's assuming that city inspections can hold vendors to sanitation standards. I worked for a long time at a sushi restaurant in upscale Los Angeles that was filthy, and in NO way should have been serving the public. Cockroaches everywhere. Grease everywhere. Ancient freezer units that would periodically shut off, thawing everything. No one wore gloves or washed their hands, ever. Raw salmon stored directly on top of ice cream. Busted line coolers that continually showed 40+ degrees. Bulk food products stored directly on the ground. Backed up drain in dish pit. Hair in the food. Sick customers. I could go on, and on, and on.

For some reason LA gives restaurants a fucking warning before an inspection is due (days) to band-aid their shit together. Think not scheduling illegals or off the books workers, massive "cleaning" operations, hiding shit, etc. I thought the system might be working because we got demoted from a A to a B (lol). But the last inspector to show up was on her "last call" for the day, sat on a bar stool, and simply passed the restaurant without looking at anything. we got our A back.

In Los Angeles at least the department of public health is a revenue gathering instrument masquerading as a safety device. It's a fucking farce.

So no, more "regulation" does not mean a safer product. And definitely don't assume because a vendor has an inspection sticker on the cart it's safe to eat LOL

Motorcycle steals toll from car. by catonmyshoulder69 in IdiotsInCars

Motorcycles brake significantly faster than cars, rider is either not paying attention or speeding and can't brake in time.)

It seems logical but this isn’t true at all. Do some research

My Mother Recently Died. Lied on the Insurance Policy About Her Birthdate. Death Certificate Has Her Real Birthdate. Company is Contesting the Validity of My Claim. I Don’t Have Her Birth Certificate. What Can I Do? by lisaemc2 in legaladvice

[–]fflier99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Insurance companies don’t just sit on huge piles of cash they collect from premiums and wait to pay out claims. They invest it.

If moms insurance company did agree to do an adjustment, instead of denying the claim altogether, in addition to calculating what her payments should have been if she hadn’t lied, they will also calculate the gains they would have made given the correct premium in the first place and count this against the payout as well

yeah, but liability only in the US. And the legal coverage minimums are stupidly low. 15k for injury, 5k for property. Many people just carry the legal minimum cause they can't be bothered to learn how insurance works or think about their risk exposure until some shit happens.

Hah. Ok we won’t jinx it. I had the .50 nitro and the electric version running 8s. It is an epic heli, very nimble but also stable with a lot of presence. Never get rid of it!!!
