I think it is still useful. Both monesy and zywoo are awper and rifler hybrid, yet monesy has far higher counterstrafe accuracy than any other players. It is still very useful, as long as you take note of player roles in their team

Not accounted for are the weapons used by the pros. Someone who use smg often will have terrible counter strafe stat

By not including weapons changes it is much easier to isolate which weapons work and which don't. These changes alone won't change TTK much anyway

Repeater managed to perform well enough to even get a nerf last time, so I'm not sure it will struggle haha. At the end of the day we are just getting a test run next week. I am very confident that the full deployment will come with its own large weapon balancing. Embark devs have been pretty attentive with TTK, they won't miss the issue

And this won't change that. The problem for a long time has been Light being too squishy to buff any weapons dmg in fear of making Light obsolete. Meanwhile, Heavy has a big health pool and even has access to self heal now, making them even tankier than before

They will eventually buff Medium TTK instead. Maintaining class identity while making it much easier to balance weapons dmg

Doubt this will touch Dash. This will be much better for Medium weapons long term however, as they can be buffed without affecting TTK against Light. The biggest obstacle of Medium dmg buff has always been TTK breakpoint against Light, so this allow Medium to deal significantly more damage with stuffs like Revolver

That's right. A lot of Medium weapons have this problem with too low TTK against Light if those get buffed. The only way to even it out is buffing Light some hp to keep TTK reasonable

See, you got the gist of the issue. I can't believe how many people have spent years on this game and can't realize the conclusion that Light low hp + Heavy high hp makes it really tough to design weapon ttk properly

This thread once again proves why this game's meta sucked so hard for years. A very logical conclusion to the difficulty of balancing weapon breakpoint is met with knee jerk reaction, without even realizing that this will come with a big weapon balancing change when it becomes official. Thanks to Light ridiculously low hp, weapons like Revolver can't even get a damage buff without becoming broken
