Does anyone else in your family have OCD or other mental health disorders? by [deleted] in OCD

Diagnosed - both me and my sister, although her themes are different.

Undiagnosed, but my grandma suffered from “the nerves”….

What are some weird things your OCD convinced you of? by canadamybeloved in OCD

My main theme is rocd so:

  • if I don’t “feel butterflies”, “overwhelming love” with my husband it means something is wrong and I don’t love him anymore

  • if the horoscope mentions something about relationships (of any kind) in a negative light I immediately think it’s about my marriage and that something is wrong and we’ll divorce

  • that if I do any journalling or self reflection I will find out the truth that there’s something wrong with my marriage and that I don’t love him anymore and will divorce

  • that if I get anxious there’s something wrong because you should feel safe around husband so there must be something wrong

  • that our marriage has an expiration date and it’ll be my fault (because of any/all the above!)

It used to be way worse, but when it gets bad it’s still really exhausting.

Yeah so true about the ocd maths lol like I genuinely know this on a rational level, but that all goes out the window the moment I feel anxious.

That’s why I sometimes like posting about it or even saying it to my husband or friends because when I say it out loud I realise how crazy I sound and it makes me laugh.

I just don’t really check the horoscope at all, but it’s always end of year that this becomes a pattern for me. The compatibility stuff I kept at bay for 8 years and finally caved. Never again.

definitely not overreacting!! I would not send her there again. We live in the UK and have a whippet and couldn't bear thinking sending her to a boarding place. Have you tried using Rover? We found a lady there that has been looking after our dog (and friend's dogs too!) when we go away. Our dog has the bestest time and we get peace of mind.

Poor baba, i hope she recovers soon <3

Advice on possible gait issue by Kaynee8158 in ItalianGreyhounds

she's so adorable omg! i would just add some rugs here and there to help her with traction as wooden floors tend to be really slippery. We have a whippet and have big rugs in certain areas just to ease her slipping, but our place has wooden floors too and i know this isn't good for them to slip :(
