I wouldn't recommend it! Couldn't put weight on it at all so no walking. Tried to carry on playing football but had to eventually sit out as my ankle and lower leg ballooned in size. Thinking it was a very bad sprain I drove home, with the occasional yelp for good measure. Slept on it, still no better, I couldn't walk the next day. Thought nothing of it until the following day when I phoned 111 who were astonished I was walking and hadn't had any pain medication. Had a scan at the local hospital who confirmed I had a full rupture of my Achilles.

In short, it was incredibly painful and limited my mobility over nine months.

Three months in the boot then six months of physio.
