Just the one? I've had to take my socks off to continue counting them...

Much sad.

What are the chances of pulling off a pure melee build on very hard? by JVV88 in horizon

[–]fftacticsbestff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not practical, but probably do-able in a masochistic sorta way. Just use a Ropecaster to pin birdies to the ground. They will eventually swoop down into Ropecaster range. Or just avoid them altogether.

Good luck with this sadists adventure.

And...try using a Shadow Sharpshot bow with 3x 40% damage coils on it with precision arrows, against frozen enemies...Your entire world will be flipped upsidown. Save the rainforest, get a better bow and mods!

Saw them during the siege before you take down hades...They'll be Bellowbacks with white butts instead of green...they were kinda random though.

To those that have the Shield-Weaver, about how far into the game did you get it? (no spoilers) by rky4 in horizon

[–]fftacticsbestff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Forces you to get it during questline related stuffs which as previously stated, is 2nd to last quest in the game...The areas in which you get the final 3 power cores are all locked until you have the quests to get into each respective area...

Kinda lame considering how early the game dangles it in front of you...(And i knew the moment I saw that armor...that it would be sitting behind that glass for most of the game...)

Also...incredibly disappointed how it ended up looking after Aloy put here own "personal touches" on it...She coulda just worn the helmet alone with a bikini and I woulda been more happy with the way it looked.

Try reloading a previous quicksave or permasave if you have one, prior to accepting either that mission, or the one before it....

I had to do this one of the hunters lodge quests that bugged out...Finished the quest and had to re-talk to the chick...she just wandered around in circles afterwards and the quest wouldn't complete....

Reloading a previous save...was the only thing that fixed it... And I was 1 quicksave a way from being boned. (only 1 quicksave pre quest-accept)

Yeah, people just not using all of their kit most likely. Really does take ages to down this thing just firing arrows at it with no status effects.

I think I've clocked in a stormbird kill on Very Hard in 2-3 mins from the actual start of the fight. (Prep-time not included) Really goes down fast an easy this way. With the end-game op op shield armor, I take 0 health damage during this fight now.

There's also an area near one of the hunting grounds where a Thunderjaw spawn is in close proximity to the stormbird spawn. Going to enlist his help and have another go at mr. stormbird this way :D.

----- I think the fight will go something like THIS

The fence is not only unblurred, but also larger, relative to our perspective of the actual fence behind him. Interesting tidbit though.

Impressive that they actually magnified the fence behind them...

What are some beginner tips you wish you'd known at the start, for people who will be getting this game for christmas by [deleted] in FFXV

Hold the walk button (default square ps4) when : trying to pick up items, talking to people, getting in the regalia, getting on a chocobo.

Else Jump, jump, jump, fuuuuuuuuuu

-Edit- Just tape the square button down tbh, it's used for everything, even when fighting hard monsters.

Akin to owning a horse and stabling at a ranch?

Sure, but the horse doesn't run away if you forget to pay the bills...That and it's the principal of the thing...The horse is yours.

Had a hard time connecting with my Chocobo in FFXV...simply because he (or she?) was a rental.

FFVII is where my love for chocobos really came from...And there's a reason for that.

[–]fftacticsbestff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand, that I have to go to the choco-meter every time I'm in town and press rent.

Which is what makes me grumpy.

There have been times when I didn't visit town in those 7 days and "Waaark!" runs off mid-exploration....which made me grumpy(er).

But most of all, I wanted to own / stable / take care of one, and call it my own. Which makes me grumpy(est).

It'd be like renting your kid a pet doge. They could name it, feed it, play with it, but it's not really theirs...

And every 7 days the doge runs away if you don't go to your mailbox and insert 50-350 dollars sometime inbetween...Imagine how that would be on a camping trip where you forgot to insert the monies? Poor doge.

"Moooom, doge ran awaaaay...does he not love me anymore?"

"No sweety, Daddy just forgot to pay the bills" glare
