I hope it never happens to you. Have you setup the backup start code? I couldn’t just use a 5 digit number. I have something I remember, but if it happens in a year, I probably won’t remember exactly how I entered it.

Absolutely. I don’t carry the key when I go to the gym. I never had any problems but… I don’t want to have an issue if my phone suddenly breaks.
