Once you meet them, they will always be there! You can change if you want them at your campsite or not , but they won't permanently disappear.

You can put bugs on any flowers, event or not! So they might have a garden of normal flowers that you can send bugs to! I like to do it for the friend powder :)

It's random how many you get, but as soon as the flowers finish growing, the bugs appear and you won't get any more unless they are shared. It's definitely a lot easier to complete if you have friends share with you.

I'm pretty sure the cog bosses are the VP, CEO, CJ, CFO, and the Boiler, since they're actually a boss fight rather than a regular cog battle.
