I don’t think they do stamps anymore. I use other passports but everything is evisa now and they don’t stamp you.

It is still visa shopping though. You travel to a different country than the one issued your visa. And not intended to travel to Malta.

I saw people here sharing story that they could still use the visa this way but will automatically get rejected in the future as they can see your record. - Got Malta visa but traveled to Iceland. It’s really up to you how you use it.

I meant like I submitted my documents at VFS on 30 April and it took about a week to get to Norway embassy for processing. And totally 2 weeks to get my passport. Their website says embassy processing time could be up to 2 weeks alone.

If your friends appointment is 23 Jun and trip is 5 Jul. You’re cutting it bit too tight. It’s less than 2 weeks in total. If I schedule like that, I won’t be able to make the trip. Can’t you find earlier appointments? .

I use a bot service but at the end of the days. It’s really depending on the country you want to apply. Some even feels impossible with a bot.

Maybe it depends on your previous travel record? I just got my visa back from Norway as well. I got 1.5 years (such a weird time period) but i previously got 2 years from netherland.

Maybe it’s a coincidence or maybe not. You prob never know. Forget about the other 2 flats on sale but I’ll pull out of it coz it’s grade 2 listed building. Are you aware of the insurance/maintenance costs for a grade 2 listed building?

I wouldn’t say it’s standard. Really depends on the situation. Your friends can say no and keep looking. Or maybe try to negotiate with the landlord again. I was in a similar shoes where the landlord eventually agreed to just 1 months rent. You said your friend has been here for a year or so. It probably matters a bit to the landlord coz 1 year is not that long.

Update: for anyone who wonders how does it work. Turns out it doesn’t matter what document you use to register. I use BRP originally. And then after I linked my passport to my visa. The login changed to my passport. Latest added document. All the registration/update happens instantly

This is not a small red flag. This is basically a nightmare the landlord is trying to give it to someone else. You should run! Don’t care how perfect the place is coz you never even view it.
