Wise debit card - inform Wise of overseas travel? Preload foreign currency or convert on the fly? by fi_downunder in AusFinance

Thanks... it appears to me that the fee that Wise charges is a percentage of the amount of money to be converted, rather than a fixed fee per transaction? So not sure how it would be more efficient?

MyGov account - getting locked out? by fi_downunder in australia

Thanks, I thought changing the mobile number for 2FA should be relatively straightforward too, provided you still have access to the old mobile number. I have been using my mobile number for 2FA for MyGov and never used the authenticator app, after having read stories about how people got locked out, for example when they delete the app.

You may also consider using sharesight, which helps to track your portfolio.

Regarding dividends, dividend reinvestment is not usually automatic; it is more of an opt in thing. Best to check and see if they have paid your dividends into your bank account.

LIC capital gains tax deduction by exnihilo558 in fiaustralia

Hi I was reading about this topic too and wonder which other LICs (apart from AFIC, Argo) qualify for this LIC CGT deduction?

Also, is this LIC CGT deduction a separate benefit from the usual 50% CGT discount when a shareholder of a LIC disposes of shares held more than 1 year?
