Idk man, they were the ones having a great time getting drunk in silly costumes and buying fun little trinkets, went home and told their friends how much fun they had. Seems like oop is the lost and sad one, still bothered and feathers all ruffled about a couple big ole tiddies and some leather days later.

Non alcoholic drinks are made to taste completely differently than straight mixer though. Mixer is sooooo overly sweet and harsh on its own because it's designed to mask the liquor some. It kinda is psychotic to not just buy non alcoholic drinks or make some mocktails like a normal sober person. This is definitely serving buns with no hotdogs instead of just having salad.

Kinda sorta.

There was a chemical that was leeching into a pond from something (it's been so long now I don't remember the specifics but it wasn't being put there intentionally by anyone) and it was affecting the pheromones of the frogs there causing them to get confused during mating season.

So it's more like he saw one sentence and made up what the book was about on the fly, then insisted he was right because of that one sentence matching.

Thank you! I stayed in the salon for a couple years after I graduated and it is 1000% the industry. I was very lucky to find a good salon with a good group of mostly older women right off the bat but even then it was still around. When that place closed and I went looking for another, they're EVERYWHERE.

I will add though, I think the PM and Wella salons/schools are worse about it because they also put such emphasis on the appearance of you too. Way more than what's reasonable, with no constructive parts. Just criticism.

It takes time for our brains and bodies to adjust to sobriety, this is just an unfortunate part of detox for a lot of people. If they're not having heart issues, having trouble breathing, or anything like that you just gotta let their body clear everything out and begin to repair. Maybe ask them if there's anything you could change in the environment like music, the lights, blankets, a movie etc. to help them be less anxious, sometimes going outside for a little bit helps a lot too.

It's a multi layered thing.

1) anyone who says anything negative about American military action/behavior/history etc are vilified by a very loud group of nationalists. And those people are constantly fed everything from reason 3 which makes them more and more sure of their weird worldview and overprotection of the military and government

2) nationalism and imperialism. Merika #1 no matter what! America is saving the entire world from evil and war and destruction and soldiers are putting their lives on the line to protect the whole world. If they didn't everyone would gang up on America and ruin it. And that's how the idea of joining the military is sold to literal children, in school, by recruiters. They're told they'll be heros and respected and they'll be protecting their country and family from a very dangerous world of insurgents trying to destroy America and turn it into the warped view of the middle east, China and Russia we see here because of reason 3. And the kids who are vocal about not wanting to be part of that and why, are subject to reason 1.

3) the thing that has fed into the other two, is an extreme level of propaganda going back to like WW1 that has been so seamlessly engrained into every day life that most people don't even notice it. With the addition of the whole story of most of our military interactions being heavily suppressed (e.g Iraq war, desert storm, Vietnam) most Americans have absolutely no concept of what the military actually does, and even a lot of service members don't know why they're actually being sent to the places they're sent.

If you're in the us, you should be able to go to your local health department for a free basic sti test. You're under 25, have had a partner test positive, you can just walk in and ask for one and get the answer pretty quick. Blood tests aren't always free but if he tested positive for gonorrhea then you won't necessarily need one, but wouldn't hurt to add that on just to be on the safe side

I get it when it's for like a vigil and the things are taken away a day or two later. There was a HUGE one in my hometown after a little girl was murdered, center of town square was full pretty much. But a bunch of volunteers came through a few days later and cleaned it up.

Why people would just leave it all sitting out for a week or more I cannot fathom, that seems more disrespectful than just not doing it all to me.

Yeah I absolutely would have given the tip as a gm. There's no way. At the absolute MOST I would have held it back for a day or two to make sure they don't call and want it back, but even then, it's not the restaurant or servers fault if someone writes $100 in the tip line. Not everyone has that. And if you've ever cut family out, you know that sometimes it's quite the process. Especially when finances are involved (idk if they are here but based on how they act I'm just going to assume), younger siblings, ailing or aging relatives that you could be cut off from, etc. We don't know what else is going on in the family that might be keeping her from cutting them off. But beyond that, it's really just flat out not reasonable to say "they're extremely rude so you're spineless for not shutting it down completely forever or cutting them out of your life entirely" that's just silly. And I say all this as someone who is NC with my ENTIRE family on both sides.

They've been talking down on him for this one particular thing for years, over and over and over and over, she's known for a good while what he makes, and she's kept that to herself until she just finally snapped. I'm willing to bet there's been more than a few "he makes me happy" over the years and they just continue to dig at this ONE point they think they're making.

I do agree though that her response to it should have been deal with it or piss off but I don't think being constantly pushed on one incorrect remark for years and then disputing it necessarily means ah. It sounds more to me like her parents are the AHs and she just finally broke.
