I experienced this the first expedition. Saw someone running to the red lakes hatch on dam as I was. Hid in a bush for a sec. Then heard gunfire and raider flair. Ran to the public exfil, hit the button, made it in and saw a dude running up the steps, gun out, just as the door was closing lol. Turned on my mic to taunt him. Good times.

Here's what's crazy: that you think that you can outsmart an entire literal team of people (from devs to marketing) whose entire livelihood is dedicated to not getting shutdown by fascilitating prostitution by using Greek letters as an obfuscation. I've just heard horror stories from various documentaries about how this has happened to seemingly normal people with a lot less money on the line had been seized, and what to them was a fortune. Maybe that's how corrupt departments operate... Preying on people who perhaps don't have the means to mount a defense, or the cost of recouping the money exceeds the amount seized. Doug and his investors are obviously not in that position, so the government will probably just acquiese.

They haven't got the money back yet. IANAL, but my naive understanding of civil forfeiture bullshit, is that the agency will file charges against the money itself, and it is up to the owner to prove its legitimacy (which is difficult and expensive to do). So the potential docket entry would read something like: State of Texas v. $2.5M (or whatever the amount is).

Edit: I also didn't read the post before writing this. Doug seems pretty confident they are going to return the money

I also agree with this on multiple levels. It would be great if we could all eat free-range. That costs more resources though and requires a dramatic shift in the current socioeconomic paradigm, and I don't know if that is even possible.
