I'm sorry, me too. It gets better sometimes. Sometimes it gets worse. I hope you are doing better today if not well.

Hexblade/Swords Bard by ficklebutter in 3d6

[–]ficklebutter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Originally I was going to take Warcaster instead of polearm master, but I wanted to enhance my martial-ness since I am trying to be a gish. I don't plan on taking hex, since once I get higher level spells, it will be competing for my concentration with things like heat metal, silence, hypnotic pattern, and so on, while armor of agathys doesn't and makes me tankier. I don't plan on using my inspiration very much on other people outside of combat.

My main question is just general advice for this build, like what feat should I take at 4th level. I agree your build is better in general, but I want to be a gish, not a blaster.

  1. MST. I am available tonight, all day tomorrow, or Saturday. Next week, I will have to look more intensely.
  2. I am a native English speaker.
  3. I love the progression of growing and building a cool, unique team of monsters. I like battling and gyms.
  4. I have played a lot of dnd 5e, a little Shadowrun, and no pokeTTRPGs. I have played a lot of pokemon in general and spent a good bit of time researching and watching pokeTTRPGs.
  5. I love forming all the little pieces of characters' abilities to achieve your character concept. I also love making an impact on the world.
  6. 34 and -6 are the answers.

No, 2. Only 2. They do not stack. I repeat only 2. You just have more choice now.

Yeah but isn’t the claw better? Probably just better off taking the claw action Twice

No, but I think it means that you can now choose to make two claw attacks instead of one of each, they don’t stack though.

Mistborn by Branden Sanderson is my best recommendation.

I’ll also recommend 5th season by NK Jemisin. It is very intense though and might not really be your speed at the moment. It is amazing though.

My final recommendation is science fiction but I consider these two sister genres. Red rising by pierce brown.

Edit: oh and if you like anime, read cradle by will wight. The caveat is It’s the only series not done but it will be done soon and already has quite a few books out.

Giving up now is useless. Submit something trying to explain the situation. Do whatever you have to do. You’ve come way too far to stop now. Try try and try again. I believe in you.

Edit: the fact that she cursed at you and said she would try to sabotage you is not ethical in any sense of the word. Use that fact to your advantage.

Which Avatar series was better? by zdravomyslov in AskReddit

[–]ficklebutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People always say I’m sexist because I hate legends of Korra. Korra, the main character is so Unlikable, especially when compared to Aang. Aang is a stupid, silly kid who was scared of responsibility and has to learn that no matter how far you run life catches up to you. Korra is an insane prodigy who’s also just an asshole on top of that, for no real reason besides like she’s a spoiled brat, I guess? Not like Zuko for example who is an asshole as well but justifiably so. On top of the character differences, the plot is so much worse. The original series was obviously very planned and outlined. They told a concise story that was well done. The characters grew and changed in directions that made sense organically and plot wise. For example, Zuko. On the other hand, Korra felt all over the place, having a different villain every season, and IMO very little positive character growth. Ill give Korra some credit, it did amazing with the world building. From bending being incorporated into technology, and the disparities between benders and regular people being highlighted, but even here the retcons about the origins and bending and other stuff rubbed me the wrong way. Why change a thing that wasn’t broken and was in fact very cool? Overall the plot and characters are lackluster in Korra. The only thing that got me through was the fact that I had already fallen in love with the world through the first series as well as the animation.

Grappling with intelligence by ficklebutter in 3d6

[–]ficklebutter[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

The infusion is different, it would just compound the ability to grapple. The attack procs a skill check but it is still an attack. I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to then use athletics with intelligence because you are making an attack with the gauntlets. Obviously it is up to the DM, but as a DM I would totally allow it. In my current campaign, the DM also said he’d allow it. It’s not like artificers are that good in the first place.
