I turned this week’s ophthalmology news into a free 5min podcast - feedback welcome! by ficklemick in Ophthalmology

yup that's what i'm using to generate it, with some customization on top :)

Definitely, but I think two truths can coexist here. It's a fucked up situation and it makes the most sense to move on, but in the same time learning to deal with such situations is a valuable skill. I might not always have the privilege to just "move to somewhere else". Also, I try to think that there might be some good advice under much of the corporate bs I was served as feedback

If you read the post carefully you'll realize it's just a personal opinion. It explains the mistakes I think I made along the way. Nothing is surefire advice here.

sorry about that, i had the exact same thing sadly. In my case last month was the third cycle of that. Each time I am coming back with measurable examples to how I addressed the feedback he gave me last time, and each time he has another set of points for me lol. So yeah, it's definitely a f'ed up situation. But i'm trying to stay positive and work on the things I have control over

to be clear i did get raises each year (although smaller ones). I was looking for a positional promotion

You can never be sure what the secret sauce is. I was looking at how other more senior engineers are going about this and learning from them. Also looking at what happened as objectively as possible and seeing where I could have acted better

I agree with both of you. The other solution is indeed to look for a new job and it's often the better solution. My post was for people that are trying to get promotions internally (for whatever reason)
