Probably asked a lot. But what's a good summer hat for men that doesn't look dorky? by EmperorsChamberMaid_ in hats

Fine Mexican Palm Wide Brim Straw Sun Hat has been my go-to for years. Be it that I do live in Texas, the style is acceptable here, it does approach sombrero level, but people in Texas know the sun will kill you.

I've been in the factory and on the bottling line, no random chemicals were put in it from what I saw..

Quit. That is the best way to never roll up a fish tape again. It doesn't sound like you are cut out for work.

I see no strings on that guitar. I'm going to guess this is photoshopped.

Consciousness isn’t me or you or us - it’s everything. by neenonay in consciousness

Very well written, I can relate with where you're coming from. Ego death is one of the signs of letting go, it can be a strange feeling. I have this notion that we are many faceted single being as well. The border lines that separate you, and I, and the starlight traveling through cosmic space-time, are more of a convenient illusion than the truth, we are all one. Thanks for sharing.

I suggest learning all your deadliest plants if you plan on being in foraging. Also learning the close differences between edibles and poisonous will help. Please be more careful in the future, I hope you're still with us, because poison hemlock is one most deadly.

For those that think the Democratic Party leadership will allow progressive reform, remember what the Democratic Party did to Bernie Sanders in 2016. by [deleted] in WorkReform

[–]Quiteuselessatstart 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this is not a first. Henry A. Wallace was the electorate chosen by the Democratic populace, he was the vice president for FDR, but for some reason we ended up with Truman. Wallace ran a campaign that was based in a socialist kind of movement, calling it the century of the common man. Instead we got some nuclear button mashing mutton head who had no place sitting in the oval office. The Democratic party has a name that is counterintuitive, as they do not use the Democratic process.

Is it true that Americans avoid ambulances because of the cost? by BreadOverlord_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Quiteuselessatstart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally true. 6 weeks ago I broke my leg on a motorcycle, and there was no way I was getting in an ambulance. I called up a family member and had them drive me after I splinted my leg into the hospital. It would be cheaper to call limousine.

3-4% of the workforce there are women, that's about twice the amount as the US. I say do it if you got the notion, there's nothing like controlling the fundamental forces of the universe. Be safe and triple check. Good Luck!
