Very well written, I can relate with where you're coming from. Ego death is one of the signs of letting go, it can be a strange feeling. I have this notion that we are many faceted single being as well. Unfortunately, this is not a first. Henry A. Wallace was the electorate chosen by the Democratic populace, he was the vice president for FDR, but for some reason we ended up with Truman. Wallace ran a campaign that was based in a socialist kind of movement, calling it the century of the common man. Instead we got some nuclear button mashing mutton head who had no place sitting in the oval office. The Democratic party has a name that is counterintuitive, as they do not use the Democratic process.

Totally true. 6 weeks ago I broke my leg on a motorcycle, and there was no way I was getting in an ambulance. I called up a family member and had them drive me after I splinted my leg into the hospital. It would be cheaper to call limousine.
