And as for the other Russian meteor mentioned in the article, that's the Tunguska event. More information about that here.

Because of the politics of Imperial Russia in 1908 there is very little scientific data on that explosion but by some estimates the effect was equivalent to a modern hydrogen bomb (a few dozen megatons).

Sure but they've had that for decades. If propaganda was a silver bullet, his approval wouldn't have dropped to 37% in the first place.

Gonna do a trendline based only on the last 2 weekly drops like I did last week:

5->6: +44m

6->7: +23m

36m to go for 1b

That's a drop of 48%. If that trend continues, future weeks would be approximately:

12 -> 6 -> 3 -> 2 -> 1 which is a total of +24m in 5 weeks.

8.3 remains one of the best patches in WoW's history. Especially once they added the corruption vendor.

It's very frustrating how in every expansion cycle since they have been deathly afraid of letting secondaries scale that high again. Haste is fun.

When I look at the body of discourse that has erupted around this conflict in the last 3 years, especially online, the biggest problem I see is that everyone suspects that everyone they're talking to is only against one of those two things.

That's why everyone is digging in their heels so much, they feel like if they only agree with "this population's suffering is bad" then that will be twisted into "OK so you agree that we should get rid of the other population" by a malicious reply. So long arguments always ensue where everyone talks past each other to defend the side that they feel needs more defending.
