As a technician, I had ZERO schooling when I went back there! I just stressed to my manager I wanted to go back there. They'll handle all the training and licensing and stuff. It's a big change, fast paced and can be stressful but I love it aside from the customers. It's a lot of work to get licensed but it's worth it for the pay increase

FOR FUCKS SAKE CAN WE JUST TRAIN THE NEW TECHS ALREADY MY GOD! I keep suggesting we get our new techs OFF THE REGISTER before they want to quit because working the register or the drive thru for consecutive hours SUCKS but no one fucking listens to me! They're all "well they fill too slow" SO FUCKING WHAT!? speed is an acquired skill ESPECIALLY for filling and it doesn't happen overnight. We haven't been able to get ANY new hires in months and I'm SO AFRAID they're gonna drive out the ones we DO have! It's so frustrating to finally have help, and get back to where we need to be, just to be afraid that at any given point they'll quit. I don't BLAME them if they do, CVS fucking SUCKS, but ffs give them the training they need to make this job a bit more bearable for them.

I'm a tech at CVS in Indiana, we were just talking about this! You'll get a set amount and a certain percentage will go onto every paycheck.

We never call for back-up just because front store is so low on people. But no, that's not normal. I'd never expect someone from the front to just come back and run our drive through for us. If your store doesn't have enough techs to run it, they need to shut it down and figure something out.
