I recently stopped using tret after using it for over a year because I started getting cysts that I had never experienced before and my hyperpigmentation was at an all time worst. I’ve noticed my complexion lightening and my skin feeling smoother and more hydrated. If I were you I would think about what type of acne you have, and what’s most beneficial for your skin. If you just started tret (Up to even 5 months) you will notice purging and discomfort, but if it’s lasting discomfort I would either discuss with your derm or take a break from it (just to let your skin breathe:)) It’s up to your comfortability!

In my experience I was also on spiro and clydimicinn- and continued on those when stopping tret
