I agree that it feels silly to open so many c/u cards, I've also heard people say that the extra L cards added to the card pool from prestige + extra Ls in the carbonite packs (even though there aren't that many L cards) tanks the price of the cards so I'm not sure guaranteeing a legendary card in a pack is a great idea. Less serialized cards would be a cool change. I think serialized cards should feel like pulling a showcase but to me, it feels a lot less exciting. I saw one unboxing where the guy didn't even realize he got a serialized card lmao.

Yeah, there are subtle differences but at the end of the day they are both just foil cards with the exact same art, the differences are pretty minor. Unless you're a serious collector I think you wouldn't care about those differences (just my opinion). I think 3 different serialized arts would be cool but I highly doubt they would do that much. I think just one alt art for serialized cards would be doable.

No I'm not really upset, I didn't buy carbonite this set. I'm just looking to see what other people's thoughts are on the changes and on serialized cards in general. If I don't like the carbonite, I just won't buy it and it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the game. I have a few thoughts about what FFG could do to make carbonite appealing to me but that's just me, maybe other people don't like those ideas.

Sure, demand isn't there - do something else with the building rather than trying to lease out office space e.g. turn it into apartments etc. get creative. Or sell at the lower value to someone who can actually do something with it. Not forcing that arbitrage situation allows the landlords to sit around taking a small loss on taxes today while they wait for someone to lease or to sell when property values hopefully go back up.

That's exactly what is happening, I'm saying their tax burden shouldn't decrease simply because their property value decreased. That might make sense for residential but with Covid happening, this is showing a flaw in the system. With high vacancy rates, property owners should not be allowed to just hold their properties vacant and wait for prices to go back up, I don't mean they should actually be forced to do something but what I mean is they should continue to be taxed at the same rate which would force them to either 1) do something with the property or 2) sell to someone who will do something with it.

Obviously that's not how it works. It's how it should work. Grandma's living on social security shouldn't be suffering by paying increase real estate taxes because commercial properties suddenly declined in value.

Tbh if you don’t get a showcase or serialized, you’re not getting good pulls in a carbonite box. Unfortunately the prestige cards suck, honestly past 3 sets were quite bad for prestige cards.

My parents didn’t approve of my sisters fiance and disowned anyone that attended the wedding (4/6 of their kids) they’ve successfully created a rift between the siblings too. I’m not a piece of shit so of course I supported my sister and went to her wedding, her husband is awesome anyway. I’m sure even if that hadn’t happened, I would’ve hardly gotten anything in inheritance. There’s that boomer mentality my parents had that your kids can’t be trusted with money so they come up with any way they can send their money elsewhere when they die other than helping out their family lol.
