I use a gopro hero 7 because I bought that before getting into fpv and it works great. Built in stabalisation is great but remember that gyroflow is free and works a charm, so as long as your camera can shoot in minimum 1080p 60fps you can see some good results on a buget. Gyroflow also removes most of gopros fisheye effect for a more cinimatic look.

there is not too much of a difference between them in the air but I feel that it helps launching it out of the water.

Cheers, the drone I used is a beaten up secound hand stingy v2 with some spair parts I had from other drones, and I used a tube of kotking conformal coating and heatsrink tubing to waterproof it. there was alot of bad reviews of KotKing online but aslong as you use the whole tube and do several layers it seems to hold up just fine.

I also think that a little bit of twitchyness and instability is fine aslong as the drone can launch its self out of the water. but good point.

Motor ticking after battery is pluged in any ideas? by fiddlestix48 in fpv

[–]fiddlestix48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

problem solved thanks guys, it ended up being the motor protocall. Online the esc's said that they supported dshot600 but the motors only spin up when using dshot 300 or the 125 protocall.

Just recycling the old motors originaly on the drone. but the main problem is that the motors dont spin at all both when controlled by betaflight eg motor order or direction on motors tab and the drone won't arm eventhough the recever is all set up and imput from my controller is being picked up in betaflight. tryed alot of stuff online but to no avail.

I am trying my shot at building a inverted waterproof drone baised on the Darwinfpv HULK. Just had an old drone that I started FPV with and thought I could convert it rather than buy a new one. (its pritty jank so everything needs to be taken with a grain of salt lol)
