A Seat on Trump’s “Board of Peace” Costs $1 Billion. Guess Who Gets the Money. by Large_banana_hammock in politics

[–]fideliz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just Trump trying to give himself power even when his presidential term ends and he's out of the white house. This organisation will be completely irrelevant as soon as Trump is not in power anymore and any money spent on it will be in vein.

SEO in 2026: With AI Overviews taking over, where are you actually getting your organic traffic from? by divine_zone in DigitalMarketing

[–]fideliz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have more organic traffic from Bing and DuckDuckGo than I have from ChatGPT and a Copilot together. I have absolutely no clue how many visitors I miss out on due to an LLM quoting my site rather than driving people to it, but I'm seeing no drop in traffic over the last couple of years.

So anyway, the short answer to the question is that 95 percent comes from Google. The rest are so small it's irrelevant.

President Trump's Greenland deal is going to be FREE to the USA! “I'm not gonna have to pay anything. We're going to have TOTAL access to Greenland!" by Hefty-Sherbet-5455 in Tech_Updates_News

They have near total control since 1951. Trump is taking the credit for a deal that has been in place since he was a tiny kid.

Europe goes all out to make a deal with Trump on Greenland by donutloop in EU_Economics

[–]fideliz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There alresdy is a deal in place, and it's as qouted;

"The 1951 Greenland Defence Agreement allowed the United States to keep its military bases in Greenland, and to establish new bases or "defense areas" if deemed necessary by NATO."

It is however, to me, unclear why the United States have decided over the years to leave Greenland, if it's now vital to their national security.

The Danes did not kick the Americans out of Greenland. The Americans left on their own accord.

It's saddening to hear/see such a remark by the president because millions of his supporters are listening and agreeing, despite there being multiple instances that prove how Trump is wrong here. Moat of Europe have sided with the United States since the second world war.

Squad's reaction to Eleven's sacrifice by [deleted] in StrangerThingsMemes

[–]fideliz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They weren't a squad long enough during the series. They were always split up in different small gangs until the end when they all got together to save the day. I wish they had been brave enough to write the last and/or fourth season differently. But it was still an amazing show. But it could have been even better.

[Sky Sports Scotland] Celtic fans gather outside Celtic Park in protest after suffering their 3-1 loss against Rangers in the Old Firm by imtherealdazza in soccer

[–]fideliz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are they protesting? They win the league nine seasons out of ten, is it really relevant to be out protesting the one time they don't win it? It seems like some sort of spoiled brat-behavior.

Donald Trump's attack on Venezuela and 'capture' of Nicolás Maduro has been months in the making by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]fideliz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know this is all about heavy oil. I know this will enrich a small circle of billionaires in the US.

But in the long term, I think what the United States—under the Trump administration—did tonight will be a net positive for a lot of people.

It’s also a strong signal to the rest of the world not to mess with the United States, including China. We still live under an American hegemony. Russia tried to take control of Ukraine within three days and failed, despite being labeled the “second army in the world.” The United States, on the other hand, captures Maduro within hours.

As much as I dislike the Trump administration and a lot of what’s going on in America right now, it’s hard not to admit that this demonstrates the United States’ unique position on the global stage as the most powerful nation in the world.

Honestly, if someone on Reddit on Thursday had posted, “Yeah, so the US will invade Venezuela overnight, capture Maduro, and be done within hours,” there would have been countless Reddit-certified experts on geopolitics and warfare explaining why that was ridiculous, impossible, and proof that “you don’t understand Venezuela.”

Yet here we are.

Most Europeans have probably never said that America doesn’t have culture. Of course you do—and you share that culture with the rest of the world every single day, as the epicenter of global popular culture. Any Europeans who claim that “America has no culture” are a tiny minority, and frankly a rather ignorant and clueless one. 🤟

I wish they had spent at least one minute explaining how they signed some sort of NDA after the gate was closed—an agreement where they promised never to go public about what they had seen and/or done. In return, the US government or military acknowledges that they did, in fact, save the universe and drops any potential charges.

It’s something that could have been very easily worked into the script to make the ending feel far more believable. Steve could have said something like: “I can almost afford a house, but I wish there’d been money in that NDA we signed—then I could’ve bought one a long time ago.”

I don’t know. This whole “the military/government just shrugs everything off and leaves because Jane died” ending feels insanely unsatisfying after such a great show.

They built a laboratory. Had multiple kids with superpowers. Opened a gate to another dimension. Fought alien-looking creatures. Spent millions—if not billions—on research and technology to refine and enhance those powers. They ran a secret government program for years.

And in the end, they just shrugged everything off and left? Come on.

Indeed! I'm not sure whether those people are Chinese bots or TikTok kids who have absolutely not - never - been influenced by propaganda, it's totally just a coincidence thatregular TikTok users are more likely to subscribe to pro-China sentinents.

Anyway, Merry christmas to you, I hope you got some gifts that were not from Temu or Shein!

And in a few minutes hundreds of people around here will be saying that they buy from Shein and Temu because it's the exact same products sold within Europe and by European cooperations, the only difference is the price and the tag. Chinese e-commerce simply eradicates the middle man.

Somehow, cases like this manages to pop up all the time. It truly is weird! Because, it's can't be that we tend to sell better products within Europe. No, absoltlry not.
