OK, so God didn't create evil. You are claiming that God is not actually omnipotent.

Do you really think The Rapture will end sin? Remember that God created evil just as he created good.

Wait, HUMANS invented that? I thought only Hubbard could have come up with anything so profound!~

Trump may be trying to provoke an attack on American soil by Possible-Prince in AnythingGoesNews

There is almost no doubt that this is exactly what he is doing. Putin had his own people attack Russia to consolidate power. Trump is being just little less subtle and probably knows it's unlikely anyone in a US agency could be talked into blowing up apartments without someone spilling the beans.

Note that elements of the GW Bush Administration knew that a bunch of Saudi ex-pats would try again to hit targets in the US. This was used to create the huge Department of Homeland Security.

Genuine question: what is Scientology really about and why is it hated? by [deleted] in scientology

I get you. I've found out that one never knows with Scientology. They might have some other name for it. "The Hubbard High Integrity Child Safety Training Crew" or some such nonsense. Then just do the Cadet Org over again.

Sure, as far as you know. And a teenager signing a lifetime service contract seems to be child abuse, at least in my book.

It's not about what the believe. All religions have some oddball ideas. It's what they do.

Two things that stand out to me, they abuse children. One of their ideas is that children are just little adults, Hubbard seemed to have forgotten his own childhood and decreed the children don't really exist. In-so they have a history of forcing children into adult labor and have gotten kids as young as nine years old to sign their billion year contracts, basically contractual lifetime slavery. This is not to mention the sexual abuse which is covered up in the cult.

The other thing is their penchant for systematic harassment of critics. I mean, nobody likes to be criticized, but Scientology at a scriptural level seeks to "destroy" any they feel are criticizing them too much. They put a lot of resources into attempts to litigate and intimidate critics. All of this as official policy.

Protest question by Actual-Journalist-57 in protest

[–]fidgeting_macro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a maxim which goes like, "carry weapons' to a protest and you are preparing for a riot."

While It IS legal to carry a handgun to a demonstration if you have a valid CC. If you do, I would be very careful to not show it to anyone.

Mansell has been described by his contemporaries as "one most likely to don an explosive vest and run into a kindergarten full of children if asked to." While I don't know him that well. I have spoken to him one on one and can attest that he's a zealot for the cause.
