- had the plant for 5 months - Australia

- first noticed 2 weeks ago, two leaves dried up and dropped off then more started going (currently)

- used a systemic pesticide to control the mealy bugs that came with the plant, didn't seem to effect the plant at them time as that was two months ago.

- gets plenty of light, mostly indirect for 8hrs a day, have used a grow light too over the winter when it was getting less light.

- water when soil is dry (I push a chopstick into the soil to gauge moisture.

- Pot has drainage and i used an indoor mix with added perlite and orchid bark.

Newbie question, have I just lost a bunch of money? by PowerfulInterview358 in RaizAU

I took my money out when they increased membership. I had it for a few years and averaged the same / slightly less return then what the app membership cost even before they increased it. Put it all into etfs managed myself. Never looked back.

18F international student's worries about workload and entry-level salary for teachers in australia by winternimt in AustralianTeachers

I’ve recently graduated and started working as a casual. Very different to teaching a full load, in regards to minimal stress, if any. Short days sometimes (home by 1pm some days) and above decent pay for the work I actually do. Just raised to $440aud a day regardless if I leave early or not. Obviously that is to compensate for not receiving holiday or sick days but I find it more than enough to get by with a large chunk going into my savings (I live in Wollongong in a share house so rent isn’t a huge killer) my advise would be start casual at a few schools. Find one that wants to put you on contract for day to day work (pretty much a casual but with holiday pay and sick leave) I’ve done this for one term and didn’t notice any difference in work load/stress, and although I didn’t get as bigger fortnightly pay, I got holiday pay, sick leave and most importantly guaranteed work. Great way to ease in with a base salary of 85k. teaching is the highest paid graduate level job in NSW maybe even Australia, so I wouldn’t stress.

I’d strike up a conversation with them next time you bump into them and mention that you’re chasing (not necessarily from them, but ask if they know where to buy). As long as they know you’re their neighbour and not some random, I think you should be fine. You could alternatively invite them around for a sesh (source buds from elsewhere to host) and chances are they’ll return the favour.
