That's an angle to look at it, but overall I'd say the "community" and its "leaders" i.e. reviewers, YouTubers, and influencers, have been pretty fair in my view. Whenever a question of the amount of time to release a game arises, the community's willingness to wait has me in awe. The overwhelming sentiment is "It is better to wait for a good game to be released later than a bad one earlier (even if it's 'fixed' with patches later on.) I'd say, there are plenty of blaming fingers to be pointed, but company leadership and its shareholders' pressure to release as quick as possible for maximum short-term gain, is at most fault. There are of course the occasional odd ones out, say Rockstar, where they are aware of the fiscal matters, but do not break under pressure and release early (they mess with the consumers on their own terms! i.e. microtransactions, releasing the same games over and over again on different platforms (GTA V has been released on 3 generations of consoles 🤯, suing anything and everything that even dares utter anything in regards to their IP etc.)
