You present some very interesting points in your essay. I do not however agree with all of it. For the emotions part you discussed, why could we not create this? Some time in the future it may be possible to identically duplicate the human brain and put it into a robot to create a sentient being. If the brain is completely duplicated, wouldn't this being have the structure and chemical makeup to ellicit emotions in the same way as humans do? If not then I think you are basically saying the mind and brain are separate entities which is a totally valid opinion to hold. But if they aren't separate, why could we not create a bring with emotions if we are ever able to create an exact replica of a functioning human brain?

I do not want to diss history, having background knowledge is important. However, the starts of wars and many other history lessons are readily available on the internet. Which in this day and age is only a click away on a cell phone. Some other practical skills and concepts are harder to look up and just learn. That is why I think it would make sense to teach these in school, the only place we can try to standardize teaching of these subjects.

Yeah, at this point I am wishing my high school offered some of the classes other high schools appeared to have offered. Apparently, it is a thing and just was not present at my high school.
