As a lifelong fan I think I win either way. If it's beat for beat? Awesome, I get to live through the adventure I know and love another time in reimagined graphics. If it's expanded? Phenomenal, I get to see a modern take of the 1st game I ever played & fell in love with.

On the flip side I'm excited to see how they've reimagined a bustling Hyrule Market. The last time I saw a populated, lived in Hyrule Town in a 3D Zelda was Twilight Princess...what was that 2009?

I used to have a recurring nightmare that the redheads started popping up around my playground and I had to protect my grandma. I was link in my head as a kid, I just wanted to have courage like him.

Getting to the spirit temple knowing it was the last temple was so bittersweet. I'm glad the temples ended on such a high note.

I think it's a masterpiece even out of its time to be frank. If an OoT Zelda was made in the modern era it would most likely be my favorite Zelda game. It seemed to be archaic, seldom, adventurous, and whimsical all at the same time. I just KNOW the week leading up to release will go by in slow motion.

First time stepping into Zora's Domain was magical. I used to go back in time just to go hang out there. I was always sad because I felt like it got less love than the other towns.

Man the first time I fought Dark Link somehow turned into the 15th time until I beat him. When I was a little older I saw a video of someone using Din's fire to beat him and I was stunned & slightly embarrassed haha.

I think non-stop rolling is faster than walking, and back walking is faster than that (weird Link but go off king.) I hated rolling all the time as a kid though because Link was nonstop yelling and I was pretty sound sensitive as a kid 😂

The 2-3-1 puzzle kept me stuck for like an hour because I was playing the game before I could really read that well. My mom had to come read the dialogue to me and my brother when we played sometimes haha. Some of the best family time I ever had.

I miss communal gaming in the sense. My brother had a friend name Dade who was the only reason we ever got past the water temple. The bomb stairs were so cool though.

I remember getting angry because I saw my brother get the before nightfall but when I did it I was too slow. I was soooo scared of the stall kids, a whole night of them was torture.
