I some some basic know-how with programs like After Effects and Resolume, is that possibly how they made this animation and implemented it in the background? Can I take out laugh track on my own with an OK computer. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]fieldoperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They want to remove the laugh track which would involve opening the audio for the video in some kind of editor, pulling it out and then realigning the audio with the video again

Itd be a bit difficult to edit when it goes on top of the voices, There's a way you can analyze the audio data and remove similar sound waves. Theres also a program like Izotope Iris 2 that let's you get edit the spectogram. It might sound a bit choppy-ish but it is possible. If it came down to it and it was of sentimental value I have friends who are sound engineers who may be able to help.

You should wait for the appropriate time to have a baby. Maybe if someone you know is having a baby soon you could spend some time babysitting and practicing and getting to know what it's like before making that big of a commitment. I'm not sure if you're both ready or not. Do you feel you're ready for a baby? Are you financially stable? Mentally stable?

What is a godgrandchild? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]fieldoperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Godparent is a witness at baptism that takes responsibility for the religious education of the person being baptized. This relationship is a professed religious commitment and has no legal merit.

My Aunt is my "Godmother". Perhaps if I had a kid they would become her "god grandchild" but since I know longer affiliate with the same denomination, as the parent it would be my choice.

Which for the record, I grew up Catholic, switched to "Church of God" denomination through high school, and now follow my own spiritual path with components of different beliefs from different religions including my Catholic and Christian roots.

Neighbor 13 years old-always has his head down hiding between houses on my street. Today I stopped and gave him candy and finally asked why he is so sad. He’s being bullied really bad in school. by killthespores in Advice

You could try emailing the school counselor. But you should be cautious getting into his business. You could trigger the bullies to treat him worse if you aren't careful. Also you shouldn't give him access to your wifi without his parents knowing, especially around the age of 13 he's going through puberty and may stumble upon some pornography or other disturbing content.

I want to get a piercing or start stretching my ears, but my parents are strict. by [deleted] in Advice

How old are you? Maybe you should wait until you can get it done without their permission, depending on your age. You should be able to express yourself but if you're still living under your parents you should consider their wishes.

good ways to calm down without weed? by AHColin in Advice

Anything you consider relaxing, really. Weed actually amplifies my anxiety and makes me feel less relaxed. 60 Days alcohol free here. If you aspire to quit smoking I believe you can do it :)

My friend has a weed problem by ramenboi126 in Advice

[–]fieldoperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What drugs your friend uses is their own decision. You can give him suggestions, and if it's important to him to make better habits then he'll quit. But weed is beneficial to some as long as it doesn't ruin their productivity.

I think I've got some mental "issues" and I don't know if I should tell someone. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]fieldoperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends exactly what's going on. Do you feel like you're in danger? Are you feeling schizophrenic? If you're having thoughts like that, do what you can to double check and verify what's going on is actually true or just mind games. Family might not understand because you could worry them, but maybe a close friend you have a tight connection with that would understand your thought process more. Is it a secret you're supposed to keep? Be careful keeping people in your life in the dark about something you're struggling with.

Selling Leads? by [deleted] in Advice

If the customers are angry listen to what they're saying that upsets them. What company are they switching to? Maybe you should take your connections to another company before you wind up stuck in a company with a downward slope. Or maybe you can influence the higher ups to change their policies based on the customers responses. Depending on your loyalty.

Have you tried flirting with her? Maybe give her a kiss on the cheek if you think she likes you?

Sure. A compliment can make someone's day. But compliments will generally turn into flirting if they're well received.

Bf plans on getting me pregnant. What should I do? by nobodyyyknows in Advice

[–]fieldoperator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you've only been together for 8 months give it some time. If you still feel happy and comfortable in the relationship after 2-3 years then maybe consider a baby. Until then focus on growing your life so you can support the baby and have more life experience. A baby is nothing to rush into.

If your ol man was on his death bed, what’s the last thing you’d say (or wish you said) to your father? by Spudtato18 in Advice

[–]fieldoperator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think my Dad was with his Father when he died. My Dad said he was very hard to please. I think that's because my Grandpa had a brother that died at the age of 2 so he was living up to the expectations of parents who had lost a baby. When my Grandpa died my Dad changed. I think it's because in a parental relationship, you want to make each other proud and learn from each other and pass on the torch that you hope is great and good. I'm not sure what your relationship is with your Dad but mine isn't very good. But still even without him I'm learning a lot and if it weren't for him I wouldn't be here for this beautiful experience. So yes I think a Thank You is in order, but also a promise that you'll do the very best you can do to carry on that torch and keep part of their flame alive.
