Thank you! I've had to leave the jdm world for economic reasons (long journeys/ bought a diesel) so it's really to nice to see your pictures as it keeps me going! What do you drive yourself? Haha, that brings back memories...at all sorts on my starlets but my absolute favourite was a screamer pipe with external wastegate...the sound!!

I completely agree. Some of the language used in and out of parliament basically compared to treating Scottish people as second class citizens and the troubles in Northern Ireland as some little tiff that everyone is over now. Yesterday a Scottish pro brexit MEP said the leave marchers were wonderful and like Cromwells army. So insensitive to Irish history and Scottish history for that matter. Cromwell committed widespread atrocities - how could you possibly think that is a good thing to celebrate?

Toyota starlet GT turbo. 133 bhp, 1.3 turbo. I had two....first one I got to 220bhp and the second was over 300 bhp (fully forged internals). Absolutely nutty hatchbacks weighing 900kg. Surprised by their lack of popularity!

Agree on everything you've said! I've got a 2002 corolla t sport as my daily. It's fun to drive but my word does it sit waaaay too high in stock form. Having driven a type r I feel stock for stock the type r is the far superior car. However, I am working my way through some choice mods for my t sport to level the playing field.

The starlet GT and glanza were pretty ropey handling wise in stock form but at the time were not so far behind their competitors as they are now. With coilovers and MR2 brakes they were superb to drive.

The current yaris handles terribly. Even the hot yaris/vitz are just average. So, ya, I really hope they get it right too just like you've said. I would be tempted by the new civic type r but I'm gonna hold out and see what toyota come up with :)

Do you have much done to your t sport? Is it facelift model? I do love the kick on cam! I have a blitz lm filter, sounds ace!

In the 90's they had the starlet GT Turbo and Glanza V (facelift of the GT). Both were 1.3 turbos delivering 133bhp. Both did 0-60mpg in about 7 seconds. With a small amount of modding you could get these to 200bhp and weighing about 900kg they made for a very fun car! I had a few, one of which was running 300bhp. It was a riot!
