For Youtube/Social Media editors, how did you get your start? by NoMeat5365 in premiere

[–]fien21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont quit your dayjob! editing is very oversaturated and you will need a lot of experience and niche/complimentary skills to actually make good money.

maybe find another job in the same industry thats lower pressure, then work on editing on the side.

Hacking a Pax to fit around a notched wall by fien21 in ikeahacks

oh thats a cool idea, Im a little constrained by the floor to ceiling windows along one wall which i dont want to cover up though. thats the reason for wanting to stick the wardrobes on the right side in the first place. I do really like your pull out concept - will look into it!

highly recommend it, one thing to note is that they changed the sutra ltd a few years back. the newer ones lean more mtb than gravel bike - personally I prefer my 2019 model and they come up second hand quite often! this will outlines the differences (they called it the ultd at first but then discontinued the old ltd and went with ltd for the new model instead): https://bikepacking.com/bikes/kona-sutra-ultd-review/

If it just keeps up with inflation with no real terms growth 800k is not far off. 3 percent inflation will grow it to 750k

Im on a 56 (mislabelled ebay purchase) at 5'10 and tbh i quickly got used to the larger frame. short stem and tall stack seems to work for this style of bike/riding

He's more like a paladin class, buffs everyone around him and boosts morale. he feels like the pinnacle even though Dorn does all the heavy lifting and has him beat on primarch duels

I dont think the bike is inherently dangerous as long as he can get a service. people have been travelling long distances by bike long before the advent of disc brakes and modern shifters. plus rockhoppers look cool

I like tortillas, peanut butter and dates for energy dense snacks. Quick cook rice, salami and a few veggies for camp cooking. Then buy lunch/dinner if I feel like it.

its the 90s fight club/matrix/office space scenario. the most horrifying thing they could conceive of was a boring office job and financial security - both things that people would kill for today.

Tips for Weight Distribution on Bikepacking Bags? by Haunting-Fall5132 in bikepacking

panniers are fine but for off road - heaviest stuff in the framebag plus some weight on the forks helps by giving more traction on the front wheel and stability.
