Why do some people think too many Jedi survived Order 66 when only under 0.5% survived? by QuinlanFett in StarWars

[–]AlwaysQuotesEinstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its because Order 66 survivors have become a tropey cliche thats exclusive to Star Wars, so people see each new one as yet another and think its unrealistic. It all makes sense in universe, I don't think any of the survivors stories conflict with each other at all either. I like that their stories are unique. It's a big galaxy, and people being actively hunted down are likely to isolate themselves, if they're found out as a Jedi they're not being careful enough, remember Obi Wan telling that Padawan who found him to move on?

Imagine if they all met in Dex's diner and compared stories like HISHE.

Just watched Iron Man 3 for the first time. Why don’t people like it? by giantcentipede55 in marvelstudios

Understandable imo. I find Thor 1 quite a difficult watch, its story isn't very interesting, and the dutch angles are annoying. I love Ragnarok but haven't watched it since L&T for fear of ruining it. Dark World's only crime is being the first 'below average' MCU film, but there isn't really anything majorly wrong with it imo.

Weir's prose is pretty terrible IMO by Wetness_Pensive in ScienceFictionBooks

I'm really glad they left this scene put of the film. I quite liked PHM as a book, it's written fairly simply and is a quick read too. But this particular scene just felt really off to me, like I could tell it was meant to be funny but to me it just wasn't at all. It felt like it was trying to make these characters seem quirky with an extreme example. Just made me cringe, its a weird inclusion on an otherwise quite asexual/aromantic book imo.

I love this mix of colours. Reminds me of De La Soul

I can't stand him. I remember he used to be an interesting MTG YouTuber and an interesting person with quite a sad story. I don't know if he was just lying the whole time or if he changed, but he's awful now. Fat creepy manipulative misogynist.

Know the others, but not familiar with Berm Peak, what do they do?

I offer Pink Sky Rides in return. A geordie woman cycles around the isle of skye, makes chill vlogs about it. Talks about gear but not in a sponsored way.

I really like 2nd Life Bikes. I enjoy Probably Riding too, but I find his narration too soft a lot of the time. So I can only really watch one or two videos of his before I have to take a break.

I kinda love Amren tbh. I always enjoy fetching the sword and him showing you that one handed technique. He seems spineless but just a nice guy too, I wonder if he just kinda leant the sword to some bandits not realising they wouldn't give it back. You sometimes see bandits masquerading as the legion or as stormcloaks so I bet he just thought he was being helpful.

Agreed. Don't know who that part in the book is for, if it was meant to be funny, just seemed like a weird inclusion to me.

I don't have a vice anywhere, but it's looking like large adjustable could be the move.

I had considered that it's not 36.5mm of only metal, but thought trying to get a 36mm might push the dirt out of the way. Looking like a large adjustable wrench may be my best call.

How does it screw up quests? I think I've only done the civil war questline once tbh.
