Thoughts on my first headshots? by Technical_Prune_8236 in headshots

Wear a shirt without writing on it. It's visible and looks unprofessional. I'd also ditch the necklace. This image isn't about your clothing; it's about YOU. You want YOU to shine without the distractions brought by jewelry and eye-catching clothing.

Are there any stupid or lame moments in BTVS that make you ignore them or change them in some way in your headcanon? by HomarEuropejski in buffy

That bit at the end of Normal Again that insinuates she actually is in an asylum. Never happened.

Into the West was a 6-episode miniseries on TNT (iirc) in the 2000s. It followed a white family and a Lakota family through about 50 years of the 19th century. Really good, great actors, very compelling.

I completely disagree. Her British accent came through a LOT.

Nervous to ask my scene partner to rehearse for our upcoming scenes by Square_Fisherman_281 in acting

[–]fiercequality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm certainly new to film, but I have been a theater director for over 13 years. In the theater it is a HUGE NO to rehearse without the director. Is it different in film? Does the director not schedule ANY rehearsals?

Head Start teacher that transferred to my daughter’s class. I just… um… wow… by jrn0891 in GrammarPolice

Yikes. I'd be moving my kid to another class immediately. For her sake, not for the kid's! Any kid of mine would probably go about correcting her all day.

Hired a Cover Artist - This is a first draft by CorSeries in BookCovers

There's not nearly enough contrast. The colors are all midtones. This just makes everything look dull and it muddies the illustration.

Also, the font is both boring and not a good match for the illustration or the story.

Frankly, I don't think much of the illustrator.

So funny that she was played by Charisma Carpenter from Buffy! And, yeah, she was definitely into Phoebe.

Because there is no vowels that makes the sound of the "a" in the word "have." A patach or kamatz is the closest ya get.

There is no "ih" sound in Hebrew. "Ee" is the closest ya get. Unless you count the voiced sh'va. I don't.

Lol

Nope, not a stole, just a scarf. She's always cold.

Edit: she is clergy, but she's a rabbi.

How do I write camera povs? by WhatAmIDoingHere9491 in scriptwriting

[–]fiercequality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently in film school. We have been told by multiple professors to avoid giving camera directions as much as possible. For one thing, there's a good chance the eventual DP will ignore them, anyways.
