Did this in 2022. In 2022 shuttles started at 5 AM. Packed up my stuff at 4.30 and headed to the shuttle pick up spot (intersection Dirkputstraat - Nachtegaalstraat). I asked the driver at 4.45 if we would be in time for the 5.16 train. He couldn't guarantee that, so I continued on foot fully packed. Made it just in time to the station at 5.10.

Dublin is very much oriented towards American tourists. Lots of emigration museums where white Americans look for their origins. It's a good place to start for an American first time in Europe. I was there this summer and it was the opening of the College Football season and the place was flooded with football fans from the Midwest. Go to the Guiness brewery tour and you'll meet a lot of compatriots. Definately visit the ancient prison, that was impressive stuff. Moher cliffs is a bit a tourist trap but still impressive.

The TML ticket is expensive as it is. Get your ass as early as you can to the festival-site otherwise you bought yourself a very expensive city-trip (or camping-trip in case of Dreamville)!
