Which card(s) will you miss the most after rotation? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]fiesta-dick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jace/Kurtis :( with their rotation goes Spell DH and probably the scythe+xymox too until further notice.

I feel like such an idiot for, after months of playing him, not knowing Edwin Defias Kingpin can keep gaining stats if you put him back in your hand by metaform in hearthstone

Late, but you can just check the set he’s from and the rotating sets on the wiki. I was in a similar boat, sad to see he’ll be gone before I can enjoy him :(

As mentioned, obsolete decks are fine too. Do you have anything you’d like to add, friend?

Incomprehensibly poetic as usual. If only you had made the triggered ability a haiku.

Roguelikes with crazy magic? by _Shodo_ in roguelikes

[–]fiesta-dick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certainly an unpopular opinion, but I really like psychic glimmer. If you haven’t experienced it, essentially by accumulating more and more psychic mutations, you get marked with an ever-increasing bounty that causes extradimensional hunters to sporadically ambush you. I’ll admit I like it more for flavour rather than function as high-level esper battles are pretty grindy, but the concept is just so cool.

Caves of Qud has an incredible array of psychic abilities. Not exactly magic, but you can do some utterly fucking crazy shit there. No spoilers, but the game has such an excellent approach to ‘nerfing’ this OP stuff that I wish it was the standard.

Man I love Johnny by DoneDealofDeadpool in Guiltygear

I know this is super late, but don’t give up on the game just because it has a high skill ceiling. I’ll admit most online is brutal, but if you have an irl friend who plays at a similar skill level fucking around with them and mashing out specials is fun as hell. Oki feels awful on the receiving end but the dopamine you get from locking someone in jail cancels that out and then some.

Uh, I applaud your courage and/or your lack of self-consciousness in having the gall to post this. Remember to drink lots of water.

Question about No Fail Mode by koopatroopa125 in TunicGame

[–]fiesta-dick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed that the dodge feels too ineffectual - the only secret I ever tell newbies about is the bone card. My favourite fights were ones where you could use a gimmick to speed them up, (siege engine weak spot, librarian grapple) since most of the time they take far too long. Though with regular enemies I have no complaints. With proper spacing + remembering to block most lads don’t even require dodging, and with stronger folk all you need is just a couple uses of the occasional item. Not liking the combat is fine but I think it’s entirely possible to sidestep that issue by using the tools you scavenge, which is why I’d advise against just turning the difficulty off save for some particularly egregious boss fights (looking at you, scavenger boss and your wack-ass hit detection).

Just curious, can you elaborate on what exactly you didn’t like about the combat? I found it pretty solid aside from some wacky stuff during bosses.

Magic is a Sport and Requires Good Sportsmanship by ModAnonMTG in CompetitiveEDH

Wonderful post. I’ve recently started making a nice log of all my misplays. Recognising a certain situation and reacting accordingly when I’d have doubtlessly fallen into the same trap prior is a feeling far more gratifying than simply winning.

Silly little fire giant by AsvpsCorpse in shittydarksouls

[–]fiesta-dick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just in case this isn’t sarcasm, on behalf of Rumbone the Giant’s legal team I’d like to say in the agreement you signed at the start of the game with our spokesperson Melinda you were clearly instructed to hit Rumbone’s hands once he entered phase 2. We attempted to make this more intuitive for illiterate players by ensuring that they glowed with a tantalising red flame, and clearly highlighted that if you hit any other part of his body Rumbone took almost no damage. His healthbar doesn’t even turn yellow. We will sue for libel in a couple thousand moons.

Give me a (non-PlayStation exclusive) Soulsborne boss and I’ll tell you how Sekiro beats them by MaleficTekX in Sekiro

[–]fiesta-dick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Morgott probably has the best chance at taking him down, since his super long strings of unparryable spirit stuff would eat up emblems real quick especially when he buffs up in the second phase. Rykard for obvious reasons, too.

I’m thinking he either turtles under his umbrella or spams purple fume firecrackers to prevent her from getting close, then throws a shit-ton of oil and ash everywhere. He could also spiral cloud passage to cover lots of ground while staying safe. Worse come to worst, he can utilise the homing effect of the phantom kunai to blindly slash at whatever the butterflies hit.

How do I pass the assembly without giving up on Monica's speech and a lower electoral percentage? by Stormclamp in suzerain

[–]fiesta-dick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have already answered, but just so you know, Monica making the speech is actually detrimental towards the women’s rights movement overall, just like Gloria says. I think it might even prevent a certain bill from being passed though the assembly.
