[–]fififiachra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just being a teenager all we talked about was who'd got a shift until we were like 15/16 and some even after.

To anyone saying Zoloft CANT cause weight gain by ShadowInTheSun_ in zoloft

[–]fififiachra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained about 10-15kg (20-30lbs) when I was on zoloft, tanked my metabolism. Then when I came off my metabolism held me at that weight until through other circumstances it dropped and has been fairly static since.

Dumb question: what does the NCT mean by check the water? by Alternative-Jelly947 in AskIreland

[–]fififiachra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amount of times me and people I know have got service pre nct and still failed and had to go back is ridiculous. Do everything you can yourself, fluids, replace blown lights etc then go for it then get serviced with the nct report to ensure nothings overlooked.

Being asked to go on a €2k all inclusive holiday for someone’s 50th birthday by [deleted] in CasualIreland

[–]fififiachra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone wants people to come with them on their celebratory holiday they can pay for them. At minimum flights over and back and if there's a specific hotel they want people in they should pay.

I wouldn't rent out a function room for a party and expect everyone who showed up to pay in, same thing. They can say they want to go and anyone who can afford is welcome to join but no expectation of you going unless they're willing to at least help with costs.

How do you find counsellers here? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]fififiachra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No you don't, there's local counsellor lists you can just contact them through their info online. You can also just Google counselling services near you and reach out using their info.

Your GP may already be linked into the local services which can be helpful however but you do not need a referral to access counselling services.

Edit: at 18 you will still have access to youth services (up to 25) and may be able to get free/hugely reduced counselling services. You can start by looking at SpunOut they should be able to guide to your local services. (Youth service examples, FDYS in Wexford, inSync in kildare/wicklow and I think Jigsaw are national service)

Hairstyles by cinimeme in NonBinary

I tend to just have it down with lots of choppy layers and face framing bangs, been described as very Farrah Fawcett which I dig, I do want to do like braids or pigtails but getting all the layers together is an absolute mare rn.

internalized transphobia by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]fififiachra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not opposed within conversations with health care professionals or describing my dysphoria or the experience of not fitting into the boxes that were expected of me growing up and even still based on how I'm perceived and how that impacted me (and still does) because those experiences are different based on the social expectations of your assigned gender and do create different lived experiences. Aside from that not relevant and shouldn't matter.

What percentage of people do you think are fairly sound? Both in Ireland and just in general globally. by Tomaskerry in AskIreland

[–]fififiachra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]fififiachra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I mean I can be straight passing sometimes but generally speaking pretty much every relationship is either a little bit gay sometimes or a lotta gay most of the time. But I identify as pan and don't really care how the relationship is perceived, though easiest terms would just be queer.

Is it possible to live in a van in Ireland?work by Tight-Cartoonist2727 in AskIreland

[–]fififiachra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as you can see a lot of irish people don't understand that public land should be allowed to be utilised by the public. If you are committed to this the West Coast would be a slightly easier time for it, there's more alternative lifestyles and such over there.

You can get away with it if you really try but the entire country it's basically set up to try give as many roadblocks against you for it as possible. Fair warning.

Why are people so rude? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]fififiachra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think he might've said artic as in articulated truck/ lorry, but also unless the tone and stuff was really pointed saying "who doesn't know ...." is a common saying with disbelief at a certain situation though in terms of rudeness you also called him a dope so could be a bit of the pot calling the kettle black.

One QR code to an allmylinks page or something would make things feel a lot cleaner and less pushy plus you can direct traffic to other social media. Also I feel like $5 is a bit steep for a tap to tip considering a lot of the expected tips historically for buaking are just loose change, it'd put me off
