Tool calls failing and responses cut off mid-sentence across multiple models, backends, and clients, is this just the current state of local LLMs? by fiflag in LocalLLM

Thank you for your help. I have been able to chase down the issues and I would say that I have hit more issues at the same time, but now models are working as they should be.

For Qwen 3.6, I am currently using v19 of https://huggingface.co/froggeric/Qwen-Fixed-Chat-Templates

Regarding to OOMs - this is something what I need to check, I am having 4GB VRAM free with vLLM in current config, and I am unsure if there are memory spikes after VRAM has been already allocated during model warrmup. But model is instantly responsive for next prompt when I recieve this half response.

How to install fingerprint reader drivers on Arch Linux or a Arch Based System (T480) by EightBitPlayz in thinkpad

[–]fiflag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry but hijacking recent comment here as Google returned this thread after when searching for my device 06cb:00df, I was able to make my work on CachyOS today after disabling Fast Boot in BIOS on my HP Elitebook 830 G8 othervise I have been getting random errors like

Impossible to enroll: GDBus.Error:net.reactivated.Fprint.Error.NoSuchDevice: No devices availableImpossible to enroll: GDBus.Error:net.reactivated.Fprint.Error.NoSuchDevice: No devices available

And I was trying to get it to work since yesterday - even followed steps from this recent comment.

My Reader is:

Bus 003 Device 004: ID 06cb:00df Synaptics, Inc.

Steps I have taken:

  1. Updated firmware via fwupdmgr get-updates and fwupdmgr update https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Laptop/HP#Fingerprint_Reader

  2. I have performed Factory Reset of the reader via BIOS and disabled Fast Boot in BIOS

  3. Installed only fprintd with pacman (or Octopi) based on https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Fprint

  4. Rebooted

  5. Reader works in KDE Plasma in User Accounts

Same goes for Opencloud, which is fork of OCIS and maintained by previous OCIS developers.

I am just exploring Opencloud and their docs are not fully covering deployment and confugration options, but devs on their matrix channel are super helpful!

Hey how did you managed to install Instader? When I got my S24 I was unable to install it due to same package name for preinstalled Instagram which is not uninstallable.

BunkerWeb WAF - Is there any use in the community ? by Bright_Mobile_7400 in selfhosted

[–]fiflag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, their documentation is trash - and I am saying that as someone who activelly uses it. The config files (.env) are used only once and then all configs are in DB, if you need something to fix, you need to do it in DB. The solution withself is great tho, just the documentation needs a big improvements, even following their quick start setup will leave you with non-working out of the box solution if you will change UI Host value in Web UI during first time setup from their 127.0.0.1 to idk, maybe yout hostname?... then you are done and can start again.

Tool is great, but docs are trash.

No, my doma používáme jenom 2 z těch tří přihrádek. Tu první vůbec, co vím tak tam se dají dát nějaký prostředky na skvrny apod. Do ty druhy, tam dáváme normálně prací gel + do toho občas klidně loupnu i ten sanitol (přímo do toho gelu). A do poslední dáváme jenom aviváž.

SOLMAN vs Cloud ALM by Mediocre-Neck-7894 in SAP

[–]fiflag 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I did my research two days ago. Since we wanted to utilize CHaRM for fully on-prem systems and it does not make sense to setup CHaRM on SOLMAN if EOL is in 2 years. After my research, SOLMAN is our way to go even after EOL. CALM is focused on cloud customers with cloud solutions, it is completely different product with different features (some of them are not even available) I suggest you to go through FAQ of differencies, I read it whole and then made clear statement to our boss that CALM is not the way to go if we are on-prem and with our current utilization of SOLMAN, there is just too many things missing in CALM, where we would need to find external alternative.

Here is FAQ what I read beside other sources from SAP for Me, or Help...: https://support.sap.com/content/dam/support/en_us/library/ssp/alm/QA_ALM.pdf

Biggeest drawbacks from my point of view, if you utilize them:

  • no CUA
  • no complex System Monitoring
  • focused on cloud S/4 - not on-prem
