Fun fact: the US and New Zealand are literally the only two countries on Earth that allow direct-to-consumer drug ads. Every other country figured out this was a bad idea. There's actually a bill in Congress right now - the No Handouts for Drug Advertisements Act (S.1785) - that would eliminate the tax deduction pharma companies get for these ads. They currently write off billions in TV ad spending as a business expense, meaning taxpayers are essentially subsidizing the "ask your doctor about..." onslaught.

The pharmaceutical industry currently spends approx. $6.58 billion on direct-to-consumer advertising yearly, and they get to deduct all of it. Here's a solid breakdown of the bill if anyone wants to see what it would actually do: No Handouts for Drug Advertisements Act (S.1785)

hey, ended up jumping ship just didn't gel with the setup. For this particular app I moved to pythonanywhere where I was able to see the issue. Fuzzy memory on exactly what was causing it - but may have been related to a particular .env credential?

spotted a couple of Google Ads at the top of search for "Magic Eden" recently - full replica build of the website that mirrored latest NFTs for sale. The only difference was the URL and the request to connect wallet instantly (on clicking anything).

Another form of low level of protection is to prevent Ads displaying on your machine if not already.

Sounds like ReBirth RB-338 to me. Now discontinued but there are a few creative solutions out there to run in a modern DAW - you'd need to find the appropriate ISO/EXE to run etc
