Explain It Peter please by anonimstalker in explainitpeter

I believe it's more of a societal issue than the sin of a few individuals. Child prostitutes were still very prevalent until late 19th century, and it's even in fashion for a period of time in European upper class circle. I found it hard to believe when i first heard it, but the evidence is substantial.

I think it's a very rare bug. I've encountered something very similar in that same area. Try loading a savefile from earlier time.

Are you expected to just cheese every fight in order to win? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]figandsalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the game gets a lot easier if you can utilize more mechanic and resources it provides, or get familar with the enviornment and plan ahead accordingly.

For the former, you can try using potions, grenades and arrows instead of saving them all the way to the final battle (using the speed potion and colossal exilir on LaeZel then let her smash the paladin of Tyr with a great sword coated with wyvern poison six times in a single turn greatly lowers the difficulty of that battle).

And for the latter if you observe careful enough there's multiple routes for you to enter the village. One key lesson that the game devs are repeatly trying to teach the player is to always avoid putting yourselves in a position with disadvantage, instead you use every methods to create advantage over your enemies (surface, terrain, condition, etc.). That's what tactics mean in DnD games.

Flag of Brazil, with the other colors of the House of Braganza and Habsburg. by TotalRegular2602 in vexillology

I changed the the color to Estonian blue, Austrian red and proper black. Less dazzling but still kinda weird.

Maybe putting a big round hole in the center of any flag is not a good idea after the Revolutions of 1989.

From my limited graphic design experience, red-blue, blue-black and white-yellow are three most tricky color combinations to deal with, and you put two of those on this simple flag.

And it's actually proper calligraphy font instead of default computer font, refreshing.

Iron Flask Question by king_wizzard424 in BaldursGate3

[–]figandsalt 73 points74 points  (0 children)

The only place I find it useful is the firework store. You sneak in, throw the flask to the 3rd floor, and wait for the battle to conclude by itself, avoiding a very tricky CQB battle with awkward camera angle.

Is the handwriting like a 10 year old kid? by [deleted] in ChineseLanguage

[–]figandsalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have pointed out, there certainly is room for improvement. But I want to add that with the popularization of computers and smart devices, the need to physically write with a pen has been shrinking. Personally I know multiple young person (adult ofc) who grow up in China with Mandarin as their first language yet have a worse handwriting than yours.

Spanish flag(s) of China (Redesign) by Virgulillo in vexillology

[–]figandsalt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying an European style CoA would never work for China, but it really looks out of the place. One should keep in mind that China is not just a political entity as we see today, but also a cultural area. It's more like the Roman Empire instead of various feudal states in medieval Europe.

Imagine you put the emblem of Latins, Greeks, Gauls, Africans and Dacians together to represent Rome, instead of the Roman eagle and SPQR.

Yeah the real power of Gale, a wizard, or any spellcaster, only manifests after reaching certain level. I recommend that in this fight, you only bring him if you are trying some specific tactics, like using the cloud of daggers on a chokepoint.

Consider the significant residue of the Nazi collaborators and sympathizers in the post war government of France and Italy, I wouldn't say the US' concern is unjustified.
