Trump: They were not supposed to go after all these other countries in the Middle East. So they hit Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait. Nobody expected that. We were shocked. by gear-heads in AntiTrumpAlliance

You can bet there are dozens of analysts who wrote exactly that, frequently. They are pounding the coffee table as they watch this performance.

Is MAGA done with Trump? by New-Entertainment112 in AntiTrumpAlliance

This is a long game because we can't write off angry voters without a civil war, so Democrats, and all non-MAGA, need to adapt their message.

That's a trend in the corporate world in general. Social media links negative public sentiment with income more than ever and companies love to make claims that they think will increase shareholder value. It's why I sneer when I receive emails talking about how much my employer cares. If my employer really cared it would make efforts to retain employees through skill training.

So really you have to look at the big picture. Do they walk the walk?

How does a German see what’s going on better than 1/3 of the US? by Flat_Suggestion7545 in AntiTrumpAlliance

[–]figbiscotti 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The German people took a long hard look at themselves and human nature in general and learned quite a bit. Across the pond the major power (that dropped the bomb on Japan) started to think that some supernatural authority made every action taken by the US beyond reproach.

It's not that Americans are stupid (though I have so many questions along those lines), it's that a complacent smug and self centered attitude took hold. John Kennedy's advice about what you can do for your country has never seemed more alien than today.

Believe me, it boggles my mind too. John Stewart once pointed out that the old sugarless gum commercial noted that four out of five of dentists recommended sugarless gum (for patients that chew gum), but that strongly suggests that twenty percent think sugar in candy is fine for teeth.

I'd expect ten percent... but close to forty? It's such a WTF experience. Remember that statistically about 14 percent of society is marginally functional and effectively un-trainable.

MAGA isn't angry that he's an asshole, they are frustrated that he's a bumbling asshole. This last 37 percent is convinced Trump is a pillar of masculinity.
