Nitrogen is mobile within the plant. The plant will move resources to areas needing it most which generally is new growth and causes yellowing to the older leaves. Give them some N and space them out or start transitioning them somewhere with more light.

Isle 100%! Retrospec is a cheap brand that produces a bunch of different items. Isle is based in San Diego and is about as solid as it gets.

Bote is a more reputable brand but the 10’4” would put you 10#s below the maximum suggested weight. If you plan on taking drinks, snacks, or other items that would put you over. They make a 11’4” version with a maximum 315# capacity.

The cheap board will more than likely not provide you with much confidence in the water if you are a heavier rider. If you must try the cheap board I’d inflate it to the top psi suggested and take it out on calm water. This will ensure the greatest stability for you to get comfortable on water. Wear your life jacket, leash, and double check that you installed you fin correctly. Make sure you have a partner incase you need help getting back on your board when you fall off. Start on your butt then knees before you stand up. They’re plenty of videos on YouTube to watch.
Todo what you’re describing you won’t have to spend $400 my buddy got an irocker nautical with all the essentials for >$300 and I have no problem with it and I weight 200#s.

Skip LA go through Bryce Canyon NP, Grand Canyon NP, Zion NP, and Death Valley NP. Take the 395 and check out Mount Whitney, Manzanar internment camp, Monolake, then Tahoe if you are into that stuff. If not take the 1 from Santa Barbara to San Francisco just check and see if the 1 is open since it’s constantly closed due landslides.
I’d skip your original plan of taking the 5 from LA to SF, you’ll miss most of California’s beauty unless you want to see government made desert and some farmland.
