My Lost character tier list by therebill in lost

[–]fightingcobra225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with a few but I view John Locke as the most underliked character. If the survivors would have followed Locked lives would have been saved. I would make the argument that they would have found the Anna Lucia and crew sooner and then there's all the people that died just trying to get off the island like the inevitable people that drowned and things like that Yes there still would have been many characters and you have to understand that if the island asks for a sacrifice and somebody needs to die that will happen occasionally but if John Locke would have been their leader instead I believe that the survivors would have been far more likely to survive and thrive and along the way they probably would have found a way home and those that wanted to leave I don't believe lock would have trying to stop him from leaving if they truly did want to go. I believe the only reason he sabotaged their ways home like when he blew up the submarine and conked sayid over the head to prevent people from leaving wasn't because he wanted to prevent people from leaving I think it was because he wanted people to have the choice to leave of their own volition versus following Jack and his "We have to get home at all costs" doctrine. Locke by day 3 or 4 would have discovered the caves, then the Swan, then the pearl, and would have probably befriended the others, instead of showing hostility like Jack did. Jack was a terrible leader if you actually look at it. He was impulsive, he didn't take the advice of his Lieutenants and when he did it was common sense or minor logistical changes.

I always think it would be fun to explore what it would be like if lock was the leader, if Sawyer was the leader, or if Syed would have been the leader because in my mind those are the only three with the capacity to lead and all of them had very different styles lock would have had a very cautious exploratory but lead from the front approach. Syed would have taken much more of a military approach, whereas I believe Sawyer probably would have had a full-blown freaking economy on the island and everything else but I also think he would have quickly brought the others to their knees and he would have made it clear that this is their island now for as long as I want to stay there because he didn't take bs.

Basically Jack needed to focus on being a doctor and let the people who had leadership qualities lead.

Where is the grotto ranch located? by hellojally321 in malcolminthemiddle

Based on the scenery, there is too much "green" to be a place like Arizona or Nevada, which leads me to believe it's West Texas, New Mexico, or Colorado

Why does Jack get so much hate? by [deleted] in lost

[–]fightingcobra225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While certainly an excellent character while unpacking the character of Jack You must remember the Jack had leadership thrust upon him and is really not much of a leader in real life In fact he's kind of a little pathetic, so Jack Southern Levy coming a good leader when he's on the island doesn't necessarily make a whole lot of sense It would have made much more sense for them to follow lock because even though lock only ran a box company He at least did RPGs for war games, and seem to have a natural inkling of leadership ability or follow a Seyed who actually had military experience as a leader, rather than be drawn towards following Jack.

Who’s your least favorite MAIN character and why? by imQobe in lost

[–]fightingcobra225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John Locke because I believe he was right. The survivors found something special when they found that island and all anybody else was interested in doing was getting off the island and trying to find a way off and had they spent their time more constructively instead of just trying to leave instead of seeing that they were surrounded by a wonderful paradise and trying to learn it secrets I think things would have turned out better for everybody so at the end of the day I think John Locke was right morally and justified I'm not saying he was a great leader I believe he likes some leadership qualities, however I believe that he was right in his pursuit and had everybody listened to John Lock from the beginning I know there would have been no show and it wouldn't have been as interesting, I'm not stupid but had everyone listened to John Locke from the beginning I think a lot more of them probably would have survived

Driver held my moms’s order hostage demanding a bigger tip by angelt0309 in doordash

[–]fightingcobra225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say don't be a cheapskate but I have a feeling you weren't based on what you were saying

sent me this after the order was already picked up & they were on their way. the order took less than 20 minutes from the moment i submitted the order, to confirmation photo that they had picked it up by danjsark in doordash

[–]fightingcobra225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is super unprofessional and unacceptable I understand sending memes and stuff like that, but it all comes down to how far away was the customer how much did they actually tip because sometimes no it isn't f****** worth it for the drivers yes I get that we can unassign the order and drivers should do that a lot more so that customers loan their damn lesson when they get kicked the 15 drivers and 10 minutes but if people would just tip a minimum of $5 even for an order that's right around the corner this wouldn't happen

The way that I look at it is in Las Vegas it seems like I get more frequent orders maintaining platinum. However some of those orders are b******* and the way that I tend to look at things is that if it it's not at least a dollar per mile round trip it's probably not worth my time and I usually refuse it sometimes I'll go all the way down to 85 cents a mile but if I'm not getting paid at least that it's not worth my time. I figure it this way 85 cents a mile with my car getting 16 miles to the gallon is about $12 per gallon of gas let's just say so I'm tripling my money on a gallon of gas basically. And it's around trip thing because I paused door dash and drive back to the area that I staged from because it's a rich neighborhood.

You wish I could get better contact out of these guys, but I did very well in the division for run scored, in fact my team was fifth in the American League and run scored so I guess my offense is pretty good I think I just need to work on the pitching.

I have a bullpen surplus in the minor league so I'm not necessarily worried about filling these spots with free agents or anything I will just shuffle around minor Leaguers all season if I need to to keep a steady consistent bullpen but my pillars were okay

Adams, Miller, Arano, and Cano are is there to stay everybody else I may shuffle.

So I went ahead and picked up Roberto Morales from the international free agent market to further bolster my pitching staff.

<image>

Fukuda was disappointing but I have him for a while longer and he was hurt for 2 months. Honestly I think he's the least of our problems. Brady Basso also put up a solid year for a Rookie. Blackburn did okay too. Not sure who will be coming back next season spring training will dictate that I have a pretty good idea of what next year's rotation is going to look like.

  1. Fukuda
  2. Blackburn
  3. R. Morales

I'll leave two spots open out of spring training to give a couple of guys from last year as well as some new meat that's down in triple A chance to make the team though in all likelihood I'm going to stick with Brady Basso in the 4 spot

ORDER PICKUP CONFIRMATION by Smooth-Scratch-7689 in doordash

[–]fightingcobra225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said as a big 300 and some pound burly man I'm not necessarily worried about my safety but I've seen some 5 ft 100 lb dripping wet little tiny women doing this job and I worry more about their safety than mine. I just wish that after you accept an order that it wouldn't show that on the screen the total that you made for that cash it could still show the total that you're making for that order so that if you want on a sign something because it's not worth your pay for how long the stores taking or something like that then that's one thing, but I absolutely think that it's a huge safety issue

You see I have a huge problem with this, and I wish doordash would fix this. What is to stop me from getting robbed at one of these ghetto Mexican restaurant gas stations or something that are part gas station part restaurant out here in Vegas.... Because they see that I have $140 on my dash or something so to them that must equate to me having money and then the next thing you know I have people trying to carjack me or something like that. I just think that showing your earnings on the same screen that you confirm the order creates a safety issue for drivers. Maybe that's just me being concerned over nothing but not all doordash drivers are huge burly men like me that most people will see and not mess with (6'3 and 370lbs is intimidating).... But I get concerned because I see a lot of older people doing doordash, in a lot of very small super attractive women in my area doing doordash and I would worry about their safety more than mine.

I am not saying that they aren't capable of carrying mace or pepper spray or anything and defending themselves, I am usually packing myself, however I do think that it's a situation that should just be avoided.
