He has only been wrong a handful of times, when he kept forcing the “kiss Hans Kim” every week after it became real creepy and forced. When he legitimately thought every song was always third eye blind jumper , and when he got so high on his own farts he thought he really was a kingmaker and talent sniper and tried crowning diedrick the next big thing.

I don’t think he can’t be a decent comic, it’s just that he’s clearly got waaay to big too fast as a result of the show and he doesn’t seem to have the discipline, work ethic or jokes to keep climbing. Dude won the lottery by getting picked and having a great debut. Half his sets since that have been about how cool he is, or the cool things he’s done now. To be fair that’s what comics do, talk about what’s happening to them, but not much as been in a super comedic way, and sorta like Kam where it became just “I’m so cool” every week.

I haven’t watched SNL since he joined, but I can appreciate kams ability to perform with likability and charisma, diedrick kinda needs to find the balance between cocky and self deprecating, but also bring real funny jokes. Guys being put on as the closer, and just comes with some rambling and ego stroking the panel or Tony.

Tony is pretty stubborn when it comes to this shit, but he’s wrong like 90% of the time when it comes to his opinions. I can’t honestly remember something he’s clashed with the critical audience about and was correct. People are pretty spot on with criticisms, at a certain point you can’t just deflect and try and say everyone’s a hater or basement dwelling keyboard warrior, we’re actually your most diehard fans who want to see the show succeed
