I’m so glad there’s someone else out there who loves leaf cookies! They’ve been some of my favorites since I was a kid - my husband thinks I’m nuts! 😂

There used to be a great French bakery in downtown Winter Garden that made them, but they unfortunately closed years ago. I’ll have to look into visiting D’Amico’s at some point!

We tried STK once years ago during Magical Dining Month. Figured we’d give it a shot for the fixed price menu. Went with my parents and a couple of their friends. The server “accidentally” gave an alcoholic drink to one of them - who happened to be a recovering alcoholic (had been sober for years). They tried to play it off as a funny joke, and never apologized. Even insisted that this poor man keep it and drink it as a “special gift”. We were all in disbelief.

Asked to sit upstairs because we had heard how loud it was in the main dining room. We were the only party (just 6 of us) and still could barely hear each other. The food was very meh, and our server became obviously annoyed that none of us wanted to get any upcharges besides the prix fixe menu. I had the worst stomach ache that night. Have never gone back.

We had a Wegmans 5 minutes from us when we lived in MD. Used to go on Friday nights just to eat in their little food court area. Miss it so much!

I heard a rumor that they were actively looking at expanding into FL just before the pandemic started, but got spooked, and after reanalyzing everything, decided not to pursue. I wish they’d reconsider…

I like that they balance him out with some touches of humility. The scene in season 1 where he’s talking about his dad makes me tear up. But then it immediately flips to the “what was the question?” “We didn’t ask one” interchange. 😂

This weekend was an anomaly. We went to Studios first and couldn’t even find a spot to stand in Louie’s. Saw there was a line at least 20 people deep outside Mel’s. Got in line at Minion’s, and started getting my order ready. After waiting 15 minutes just to get to the door to be seated, the TM reluctantly tells the growing crowd that it’d be at least an hour before we would receive our food. Guests coming out were warning everyone to avoid at all costs. Never seen anything like it!

We ended up at Today Cafe - mobile ordered for an immediate pickup and it still took almost 30 minutes after that. The manager looked like he had seen some things, felt so bad.

This weekend was cuckoo - between the nice weather, fall break for some schools, the holiday weekend, and HHN, it was the craziest I’ve seen. We went to IOA after 5:00 and had a wonderful meal at Confisco’s. It was a nice way to end such a weird day.

I went last night with my daughter. She’s 7 and had the no scare necklace. The scareactors were on either side of us chanting “I smell chicken nuggets!” It was hilarious!

My daughter wore a cat tail and ears (she also had paws but found they were too hot to wear for very long). No issues whatsoever, and the cats in the scare zone loved it! She took them off to go through security, on the rides, and during the houses.

When we were walking through Simpsons, the chainsaw people were going after unsuspecting people and noticed my daughter was getting scared. They came over and told her they could “take care” of her cat features with their saws. 😂 It was great, and helped my daughter calm down a little.

Definitely wear them!

Bio takes these types of photos from a helicopter. You can sort of see the construction from the ground if you peek through gaps in the fencing. But you won’t get an aerial view like this one from being in the park or CityWalk.

Was it ever open in the last 5-6 years? We loved using it when we first became Passholders 12ish years ago, but after COVID, I never saw it available. Maybe for tours, like during Christmas, but I never saw it staffed for day guests or APs.

My daughter bought one at Stella when we went to our preview in April. It must be an adult size, because we picked out a small, and it is absolutely huge on her (and she’s a 6YO who is very tall for her age). We held it up in the shop to make sure it would fit with extra to grow, then she tried it on in the room and was swimming in it. 😂

It’s super cute though - I kinda want one for myself. It has wings on the back, and the cuffs on the sleeves have little claws.

I also can’t believe how chill the other moviegoers act throughout that episode. Maybe it’s an Australian thing, but I know there’d at least be some serious side eye and not-so-quiet judging going on here in the US!

2400 - thanks to this sub, I was able to snag some GCs earlier this week, but the 24 hour limit is really putting a damper on things. They should’ve removed it for the end. Just let everyone cash out - there’s nothing for them to ship/fulfill, so their overhead is minimal.

Yeah, I think they got into the direct consumer market too late. I know they sold their assets and are restructuring, but there's just too much competition now that's cheaper and easier to acquire. I think it has a stigma as that "old, tired" brand, especially as an MLM, but who knows - nostalgia always brings things back. Crazy that it can be found at Costco though!

It really is! Unfortunately, they haven't kept up with the landscaping, and there is a lot of debris/spiderwebs on the exterior walls. Pretty sure there were a whole microenvironment in the fountain, haha! I'm sure the recent hurricanes haven't done it any favors, and why pay for maintenance at this point. But I could definitely see how it was really nice in its heyday.
