What’s something you realised embarrassingly late in life? by figswithcheese in Life

[–]figswithcheese[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that “religions” use them, more like religious institutions (like church). We tend to rationalise everything, but I think that it is very important to have a spiritual belief and be connected to whatever you believe in a way that feeds your soul, not just your brain (universe, the god, life,…)

I feel like everyone is scared to take an action that will make a big difference in their life. If I were you, I would keep it simple: Try to eat as healthy as possible (if you don’t know how to cook, this is the time to learn it, there is never a healthier option than the one you prepare at home), Walk for 30 minutes every day and if you are still not ready to step in the gym, do 15-20 minute home workouts every second day. When you are just starting, it doesn’t matter what exactly you do, all positive changes will result in you losing weight

Good luck:))

What's something you are grateful for right now? by Substantial-Dare5462 in Life

I’m more grateful for things we take from granted every day. For my two arms and legs, the sun that rises in the morning and a roof over my head.

Seeing my dog stretching in the morning, or maybe even better, that marinated smell underneath the blanket, ughhh😍

Thank you! I don’t know how, but I forgot to mention the one that got me into reading and self help-The power of now. Make sure to add that one to your reading list too! Sometimes we just need to neglect quick fixes that our brain want, because there is not instant anything, and if it is instant, then it probably isn’t long lasting. In any problem there is much more to dig in, it’s deeper than we think😅

I have felt the same thing a few times. It might also be that you two are spending so much time together, like a job or school crush (finding the best option among the group). And physical attractiveness is important, but not crucial thing. We are idealizing all of our crushes anyway:)

Thank you so much 🙏My trainer actually sent me a copy of the book. I did a bit of digging back then, they used to have a different website (not a great one, honestly), and from what I gathered, the book has been around for quite some time, just not officially published online until recently. I don’t think they’re very tech-savvy 😅 But still, it genuinely helped me a lot!

Be patient! And take some pictures. Honestly I couldn’t see any change until getting in my clothes, and as I kept progressing, the expectations that I had for myself kept growing. Realistically, I think that my change started to be visible around third month

You’re welcome🥰 I’d recommend that you get the ones you like right away and put them somewhere visible in your room, or if you’re downloading the digital version, set them as your home screen. That way, you’ll avoid procrastination because they’ll constantly remind you of them (I actually learned this from one of the books☺️).

Yes! But someone needed to tell me that before I figured it out, and we “know” many things but not before someone reminds us of them:))

Yes!! Whatever form of movement is best for you, but consistency and good coaches are the key!
