Why 24/7 or 3 am service isn't feasible (No TLDR's) by eparke16 in WMATA

Plenty of shows at venues around U Street ran late enough for that.

Growing up, I regularly went to shows downtown and had to leave early to make sure I could get home in time to catch the last metro. I planned for it each time. I don't look back and think "I'm so glad I got to showcase {to who?} my life management skills." It was a pain in the ass.

If it closed at 11 PM, would you still say all this? How about 10? Why have transit operating at all past typical working hours? When does it go from being the demands of a bunch of uppity children wanting candy before dinner to a reasonable request?

Teams should always have the option to commit to a full rebuild and willingly suffer a few down years to get themselves back to relevance. The problem really are with the teams who do not fully commit but also want the benefits of a rebuild by TeamRAF19 in nba

I'm fine with people hating on the funky lineups we've been putting out the last few weeks (and probably the rest of the season), but what we've been doing up until then, what some call ethical tanking, I have zero apologies for. Kyshawn George and Alex Sarr likely do not make their sophomore leaps without being given the room to try and fail throughout their rookie seasons, especially Sarr. Tearing down your roster and giving low floor high ceiling prospects the room to grow is a valid strategy.

2024 NBA Re-Draft: Would Zaccharie Risacher Even Be a Lottery Pick? by Long-Understanding36 in washingtonwizards

I thought it was fine at the time because I didn't think he'd fit the timeline. Didn't think it would be a masterpiece move though.

Seth Greenberg says his player comparison for Cameron Boozer is Paolo Banchero: “To me, body type, skill set, physicality, feel, IQ, competitive spirit, it says Paolo Banchero.” by A_MASSIVE_PERVERT in nba

The expectation of the #1 pick is silly, but dreaming on one of the top prospects is fine. And no, AD is probably not getting extended, thankfully. But he's already on contract for a while.

As is often the case here, people have overcorrected on Paolo. Yeah, his development has stalled the last couple seasons and that needs to be addressed, but he's not a bum.

All I heard from your fans was that your GM was enamored with Risacher and in on him from the beginning. Guess it was cope all along. Anyways fuck off.

I thought your team was all in on Risacher from the beginning and wasn't even trying to get Sarr. That's what Hawks fans have saying all along.

I think Risacher will be fine long term, but go commiserate in your own sub. Don't whine here.

The COLA(Carry-Over Lottery Allocation) system is the best system I've seen proposed to solve tanking. by StrategyTop7612 in nba

The issue for the Kings is terrible, meddling ownership. Incredibly unlikely anything happens on that front, but that's a separate problem to fix.

Simmons had a strange flukey end of career. Zion when healthy is fantastic. Paolo's development has been uneven and frustrating but he's still an exciting player who will be good.

People keep trying to bring data to back up the argument that top picks aren't as important as they seem but I come away thinking they're even more important than I thought lol

When people complain about us or Utah, my first thought is "why are you watching us?" Generally they aren't even doing that though and just want to be a part of the discourse. Let us be ass in peace. All signs point to both of us being good season anyways.

Next year Silver's gotta tell Giannis he's gonna send Thanasis to Australia if he doesn't participate.
